The clinic provides mental health assessments for people interested in a trial of a Cannabis-Based Medicinal Product (CBMP).

Cannabis Clinic Cardiff (CCC) is a patient-centred, clinician-led Private Medical Clinic.

Patients can self-refer to the clinic for a FREE eligibility assessment. An initial appointment with a Specialist Consultant will follow, assessing symptoms and medical history to determine your suitability for having a trial of a CBMP.

There is no guarantee that an initial appointment will result in a prescription of a CBMP and any prescribed product will be determined as appropriate following discussion with the prescriber.

At present, CBMPs can only be prescribed for a limited range of conditions and for patients who meet minimum eligibility criteria.

If you are unsure if this applies to your situation, please get in touch and we can answer any questions you have.

Having reading a couple of peoples experience of the CCC I thought I'd look into it.
At first appearance it looks expensive ,but when I broke it down it didn't look so expensive after all.

As the £33/month can quite easily be negated with the Grow Access Project discounts that aren't available at many other clinics.

Also there's various oils available at usually £5 discount, so in effect after paying your initial joining consultation, you could easily break even or even save a few quids if you use a lot of Grow Access Project products.

We need electronic script writing allowed for MC at the end of the day, put an end to this clunky posting bullocks. Pls explain? I'm fick!!!
The ability for your clinician to send your script to any pharmacy in an instant and would speed things up when shopping around for sure but also it's long overdue to be fair in this day an age and like someone is trying to hold MC back.

Here I am, thinking about switching.

I've been (I think) really generous with Mamedica® in the past, even though they put patients through the pain of them growing by catching up with more staff and better systems rather than putting it in place ready. Periods where you can wait 2hrs on the phone, emails ignored.

Issues have cropped up in the past and sort of been resolved satisfactorily, and service levels improved for a while, but I'm back to basically being ignored if I email them (both the clinic and the dispensary). My latest script delivery was missing an item and it's basically not getting resolved so far; it's not the first time either.

Can someone with this Cannabis Clinic Cardiff clinic please give me the lowdown? Like for Mamedica it's all in-house clinic to meds delivery.

So I go to CCC, have my consultation - do they email me a script I can use at one pharmacy or divide between a few, I then deal with that/those pharmacies direct?

What happens on the months with no consultation?

Will they write a script for whatver I ask for like Mamedica does?
I'm with CCC. It's not all "in-house" .

CCC will let you request from any dispensary, within your treatment plan. They will send this request same day via tracked post.

If you have any other questions I will do my best to answer them.

This was an old post, think I've been with them almost a year now 🤔, appreciate it though 👍

Electronic scripts are allowed for other forms of medication, but for MC paper copies are required at the pharmacy before they can dispense, so it slows things down a lot and causes breakdowns in the process

Was Montu one of them? I think mine when going to Montu are not the highest priority for some reason.

Montu was one of them but it was actually sent with priority, along with IPS.

Newgrove and Mamedica® got the peon mail.

Aw man, even IPS and Montu aren't responding even tho they got it yesterday. Somehow the whole process feels very groggy this week, Cannabis Clinic Cardiff acted fast but 0 out of 4 pharmacies is dispensing yet
It's not just you. I too have found pharmacies sometimes completely ignore scripts even after you have agreed to payfor them. I ordered six in stock items on the first of Feb. It's now the 12th and I've received 2 items. I sometimes feel bad bombarding CCC with requests but such a low success rate means you have speculate.

IPS just confirmed they were waiting for BNM stock, so that's settled. Montu ultimately reached out to create an account, that's settled too. Mamedica®'s account creation wants all sort of GP details I don't think the pharmacy should have, they should rely on my clinic for that, but whatever, I provided it now.

However Newgrove still has not received the prescription. All I can see in the crappy "signed for" tracking that it was accepted on Monday. It's not even 24Hour snailmail ffs, just the crappy "1-3 workday" signedfor, btw 3 workdays passed already, thanks Czech Billionaire Mail. Going to miss the discount for sure...

That's scary, until now at least I was under the impression that if you actually finally got to the point where you paid, you'll get it next day.

The fact that pharmacies get away with ignoring our statutory legal rights as consumers tells us all we need to know about where they feel the power lies.

There is no point individuals' trying to challenge a pharmacies practice.

It's disappointing that these pharmacies have had over six years to get the hang of this, but there performance is often very unprofessional and unfair.

I am starting to see how important it is that a clinic has a good working relationship with a pharmacy and be willing to put pressure on them to behave in an ethical way.

I asked Cannabis Clinic Cardiff about being prescribed the new Crumble products and they are going to put something in place and contact patients with the policy but it sounds like it will have it's own allowance as they practice with other product category's and the thinking cap is on regards the finer points so as soon as I find out definitively I'll update here or if any other CCC patient finds out first please feel free to update the thread here 👌

When it's here, I'll 100% replace my barely used and personally underwhelming cart allowance with the crumbs! But my next order is only after 1st of May.

However I never used April's cart allowance so should be good anyway.

I think the thinking is it will sit alongside current allowances but I get what you mean and mentally I balance things out like that myself before ordering as there is costs to think of ,plus I only need what I need all said and done.

Yeah, I have oil and cart allowances on top of flower but often don't use those allowances or even all my flower always, just get what I need each month.

I think a 5g hash limit would be fine for me if that's the pack size going around and I most likely wouldn't get it every month anyway.

Cheers for sharing, I have my consult next week so will post any info I get then in case it's developed a little in a week

I also pointed out there is a chance some patients may only want hash type products for all their monthly needs as I know people who haven't accessed medical as they only use hash type products and always have successfully and I could probably see myself using this extensively over time and maybe around a third of what I use a month would be better served being hash but we'll see as it evolves and as we find out how it sits for value compared to flower etc

5g of proper BUBBLE hash can feel like 15g of traditional hash at least, in my experience 😁
