Cannabis Health will host its first expert-led educational event for healthcare professionals later this year, with a focus on bridging the gap between policy and patient access.
The one-day, CPD-accredited Cannabis Health Symposium, taking place at Conway Hall in London on Tuesday 25 November, 2025, is designed to provide UK healthcare professionals with expert-led, clinically grounded education on cannabis-based medicinal products.
Tailored to those seeking evidence-led guidance, the forum will offer practical insights and help clinicians build the confidence needed to safely and effectively integrate CBPMs into patient treatment protocols.
Over the course of the day, attendees will hear expert-led presentations, clinical case studies, and gain practical guidance to obtain a deeper understanding of how medical cannabis can safely and effectively support patients with a range of health conditions.
A key focus of the event will be around increasing access and improving patient care, by equipping clinicians, both in and out of the medical cannabis sector, with the confidence and tools to integrate these medicines into their practice.
Discussions will include practical advice around training, governance, and best practice for CBPMs, to support clinicians and pharmacists to prescribe and dispense these medicines, whilst ensuring high standards of patient care and compliance with the complex regulatory space within which they sit.
There will also be the opportunity to hear real-world examples of when CBPMs have been successfully integrated into NHS treatment pathways, as part of a broader conversation about the need to bridge the gap and foster collaboration between specialist private clinics and NHS services.
World-leading experts will also present research findings and clinical case studies which are contributing to the growing evidence-base for CBPMs in both well-established and emerging indications.
A ‘landmark opportunity’ to empower healthcare professionals
Dedicated to reporting on the medicinal benefits, scientific evidence and regulatory developments in the field of cannabis-based medicine, since 2019 Cannabis Health has been a go-to resource for individuals, practitioners, and businesses seeking clear, accessible, and reliable cannabis-related health information.
The upcoming symposium will be its first in-person event for healthcare professionals, and aims to drive meaningful and informed change in patient care and increase access to prescription cannabis medicines.
Commenting on the launch of the event, Stephen Murphy, CEO of Prohibition Partners, said: “This symposium is a landmark opportunity to empower UK healthcare professionals with the evidence-based knowledge and clinical confidence they need for integrating cannabis‑based medicinal products (CBMPs) into patient care.
“By bridging the gap between policy and practice, we’re not just advancing prescriber education, we’re enhancing patient outcomes and equitable access across the healthcare system.”
Longstanding links to healthcare reform
Conway Hall has been chosen as the venue to host the symposium in part, due to its longstanding ties to social welfare, public health and educational causes.
In the 1940s, The Conway Hall Ethical Society’s tradition of hosting free thought lectures and political meetings, made it a natural fit for campaigners advocating for a national health service to host debates around healthcare reform. It is considered to have played an important part in the wider civic and intellectual culture that pushed ideas of universal healthcare into mainstream politics.
