USA Cannabis Stocks Today — Tuesday 12 May 2026: Cronos Trades at $2.75 as Ayr Wellness Slips Toward $0.01

Cannabis equities head into Tuesday’s pre-market session with the sector broadly divided, following a Monday close in which upward and downward pressure across the tracked universe roughly offset one another. As of 13:00 BST — with the New York open due at 14:30 BST — exchange-listed names reflect Monday’s settlement, while OTC-traded multi-state operators carry data from Friday’s close, a one-day lag standard for pink-sheet listings. By breadth, 13 of 23 tracked names with valid data settled above their prior close; 10 closed lower. The ETF complex provides the clearest current read: MSOS holds at $5.06, fractionally above its $5.05 prior close; MJ gains 0.3% to $27.05; YOLO pulls back 1.4% to $3.08; CNBS is near unchanged at $29.11, down less than one cent from its prior close of $29.12.

Among the session’s current standouts, Cronos Group (CRON) is the most notable mover in Monday’s exchange-listed data, trading at $2.75 following an 8.3% advance from its $2.54 prior close. The stock touched a day high of $2.94 before settling, and sits $0.21 above the prior close at the close. Village Farms International (VFF) adds 2.7% to $2.64, having opened at $2.71 and ranged between $2.58 and $2.88 across the session. IM Cannabis (IMCC) holds at $0.251, up 2.9% from $0.244. Within the US MSO space, Curaleaf (CURLF) trades at $3.99, up 2.6% from $3.89, and WM Technology (MAPS) sits at $0.38, up 2.7% from $0.37. Jushi Holdings (JUSHF) adds 2.4% to $0.52 from a prior close of $0.5077. Against those, Ayr Wellness (AYRWF) last traded at $0.012 in Friday’s OTC session, down 6.3% from $0.0128, while Ascend Wellness Holdings (AAWH) fell 5.1% to $0.5649 from $0.5952. The split is 13 names above their prior close against 10 below.

Cronos Group’s 8.3% gain is the most significant single-session move among exchange-listed cannabis names in Monday’s data. CRON opened at $2.78, reached $2.94 intraday, and settled at $2.75, above its prior close of $2.54 by $0.21. The stock has traded below the $2.50 level for much of 2026, making this a material move above that threshold by recent standards. Cronos is a relatively lightly traded Canadian LP, meaning percentage moves can be amplified by modest order flow without necessarily reflecting a sector-wide shift. No confirmed catalyst — earnings release, regulatory development, or M&A announcement — has been identified at the time of writing; the advance should be treated as an observation to monitor rather than a confirmed signal.

Trulieve Cannabis (TCNNF) retreated $0.28 to $8.52 from Friday’s OTC close, a 3.2% decline after the stock reached a day high of $9.07 before selling through to a low of $8.41. The close near the bottom of its daily range signals that selling pressure persisted into the session end. Green Thumb Industries (GTBIF) offers a counterpoint within the same MSO space, trading at $8.03, up $0.16 or 2.0%, and holding within a measured $7.68–$8.11 range. Ayr Wellness (AYRWF) presents the most extreme position in Friday’s OTC data: last changing hands at $0.012, the stock ranged between $0.0092 and $0.0133 on the day, reflecting the speculative, thin-volume character of its current price level. Scotts Miracle-Gro (SMG), the cannabis-adjacent cultivation supply name, also softened, slipping 1.72% to $60.03 from $61.08 across a $59.08–$61.25 range.

The picture entering Tuesday is one of fractured breadth: more names above their prior close than below, but with meaningful losses in US multi-state operators and sub-penny names providing the negative skew. Canadian producers hold up better on a percentage basis, with CRON, VFF, and IMCC all settling higher on Monday. Tilray (TLRY) is a partial exception, down 0.9% at $5.51, while Canopy Growth® (CGC) edges up 0.9% to $1.12. MSOS, the most widely watched pure-play US cannabis ETF, currently sits at $5.06, a level that offers little directional conviction ahead of Tuesday’s open. Whether the Canadian segment’s gains carry through when US markets resume is the primary question for the session. Track all cannabis stocks live on the Business of Cannabis Stocks Tracker.
