Anyone seen Drew’s latest upload on YouTube he’s clearly been thinking what a lot of us have how have the THC amounts just seemed to of shot up…. He tested Several off the menu supposedly from 27-36% and was disappointed and upset to see the 36% one he couldn’t get a reading over 27% that’s 9% that we think we are paying for but not getting but funnily enough all ones that said over 30% didn’t test above 28% like he said as if putting over 30 will pull us in and make us pay that bit more I wasn’t sure if the purple pro he used did flowers over 30% but yes it should but 9% and he took several samples from different buds too Exactly what we had all been saying we needed to see he uploaded it last night to you tube

If that is the case what is the lower THC stuff like? Is everything 30% less than claimed?
I suppose the lesson is don't believe the hype but where does that leave patients? Spinning the 'does this strain work for me' wheel endlessly with no help or direction?

@Smacksalad also tested it and it came back 27% iirc or something like that. No strain beats 30% from what I've seen tested. Had some terrible proclaimed high % ones that belong right in the bin and not up there for premium prices. Still waiting to try DB.

I wasn't that impressed. It is high THC and got me high but didn't medicate me. Might be good for pain

It’s good that the high profile accounts are looking at this to keep the industry on its toes. I think the majority of the tested buds tested within the 10% tolerance but could be wrong? I also wonder when / if their test equipment was calibrated? I hope they try to get access to an actual lab operating to the relevant industry standards and test some of our purchased buds to give a more scientific picture. Smokiemcgreen or one of the others had access to a grow facility recently so maybe he could get onto it. More testing.

I'm going to sound like a hater here but nobody should be trusting this or smack salad or anyone else that claims to be testing THC levels but they're not using HPLC.

Purpl Pros are wildly inaccurate hence why they're so cheap compared to the BUDGET HPLC machines that come in at 15k like the Agilent 1290 infinity. some go up to £100k.

Theyre helpful to get a ball park range of home grown weed but they're not reliable enough for proper sufficient testing.

All medical cannabis in the UK has to be tested at multiple points before entering the market (including shelf extensions), those tests are independent to the brand and must adhere to the European Pharmacopoeia guidelines set out here - https://dl.novachem.com.au/files/Ph Eur 3028 Cannabis flos.pdf - there is absolutely noway that a professional lab is risking their licensing and whatever legal trouble along with for the sake of a janky cannabis distributor.

When one of these guys starts to test properly I'll listen but until then treat this like someone trying to run a catering company with an air fryer.

@Melek, I appreciate I've been a bit negative about this so I wanted to make a point to add something positive and that's to thank you for sharing this and bringing relevant, important discussions to the top of the forum.

Something weird happened with the batch of Donkey Butter I received from Montu on week of Nov 10th.
I requested the THC36 and was told they only had THC24 in stock (same price).
When it arrived the glossy sticker said THC36 and the paper 36 sticker had been covered over with a label reading THC24.
I think this is probably an indication that the original figure was overstated, not sure why the distributer saw fit to be more honest after the same batch was sold as 36 though.
I do think some of these youtubers are working very closely with some of the pharmacies / distros though.

Fair comment. Professional equipment vs domestic home testing

I saw in the small print on a different strain that says it’s 22 that in lab reports it tested 15-22 seems wrong to bs us when they know we’re going to buy ones we can’t really afford to try get the high THC but if it’s not true just not sure how there allowed to be so off think from lab be spot on same as shocking to see mould and they shouldn’t be sending out brown weed that’s dead it probably can’t be very good for us if things hiding we maybe can’t see but guess they may say they care about us but just a business at end the day so happy to take advantage of sick people with below standard products 🤷‍♀ or crazy prices
