You are saying that Curaleaf adds synthetic terpenes to their cannabis flower?Link gives no chart thats when u kmow its fake terpenes
Why would they do that when the science is very much still out on what the effects of terpenes are in medical cannabis in the first place? The effects are so subtle, you could probably get rid of the terpenes almost entirely and apart from a weaker smell/taste, many users might struggle to notice.
Yeah, but that's more of an anecdotal discussion at the moment. I personally don't know what I buy into or not at this point, I'm relatively inexperienced with medical cannabis and my BM cannabis from before MC probably couldn't be trusted to make any sensible judgments, so I'm quite far away from having any nuanced opinions on terpenes - but at least I can say that the effects of terpenes must be a lot more subtle than the effects of THC - otherwise that level of experience to know for sure what you're feeling from the terpenes wouldn't be necessary. The effects of THC are pretty apparent from one's first hit, but many years or decades on from my first hit, I'm still not all that sure about terpenes. Actual terpene science itself is very much in its infancy - as is THC science for that matter, but terpene science moreso. Its wether you buy into entourage effect or what terpenes
I massivley disagree on that budguy terpenes do potentiate THC a hell of alot isolates and distilates without terpenes are what i say 1 dimensional, Full spectrum will always be better cos of terpenes
Onset with the potentiating effects of certain terpenes can make a strain be sedation (Indica) effect or stimulating (Sativa) like heroin v cocaine or chamomile v coffee lol that type of opposite due to terpenes, the duration of effect is more to do with terpenes than THC so certain terpenes with lower THC will have a longer duration than some higher THC with certain terpenes.
Heres some terpenes that directly act on the CB1 Medical receptor, terpenes more interesting than cannabinoids but there is a massive synergy there coming from the same resin head.

I dont need science to tell me how i feel but it helps. I dont know about subtle i would more say some is rocket ship onset others very sedating onset.Yeah, but that's more of an anecdotal discussion at the moment. So what I'm saying is, from the perspective of the pharmacies, it would be much easier for them to lean on the relative novelty and lack of double blind trials on the effects of terpenes and entourage effects and such and just say "for the moment, terpenes isn't the medicine, THC is, so don't come complaining to us about terpenes", than it is for them to add synthetic terpenes, surely?
They say that iff med bud uk dont have the chart off terpines then its fake . Fake meaning not the terpine cannaboids in the original strain . How true hey ...lolCuraleaf T28 Gorilla Glue 4

Is there any fuel in the taste with tilray?
Chill out with personal insults , have some debate but uneducated twat n div n dunce lol chill man
Yeah, but the pharmacies can only go by the science, not by how patients feel. The evidence for THC is stronger and more abundant than terpene science, and a lot less complicated, therefore it's totally reasonable that when a pharmacy sells you medical cannabis, their main priority is to sell you THC of a given % in the form of vaporisable flower.I dont need science to tell me how i feel but it helps. I dont know about subtle i would more say some is rocket ship onset others very sedating onset.
Of course cannabis is understudied but to overlook the potentiating effects of terpenes is crazy and there is potentiatiing effects on THC and CBD.
I get what angle you are coming from and the pharmaceutical companies want and is going down the route of cannabinoid medicines only and as i said thats why you dont see minor cannabinoids like important ones thcv it would be nice to know if any % is available because of its appetite suppresive effects so just by that alone is a good indicator for certain patinets to stay away so its sad to see that, CBG might have adverse effects with some people but only CBD and THC is looked at even though cannabis science as a whole is will state is all about THC there is no effects from thcv or does that exist lol why you bothering about that before lol, the science hasn`t caught up with those cannabinoids yet lol but the rest of the world has.I'm not overlooking them, I'm just explaining why it's not unreasonable that pharmacies MIGHT. The evidence for THC is stronger and more abundant than terpene science, and a lot less complicated, therefore it's totally reasonable that when a pharmacy sells you medical cannabis, their main priority is to sell you THC of a given % in the form of vaporisable flower.
For example, if it was discovered that the effects of paracetamol can be modified in 100 different ways by the presence in varying concentrations of 100s of different proteins, do you expect that pharmaceutical companies will all run out and spend millions on studies to determine the effect of every combination of all of these 100s of proteins, etc? No, I don't expect that they would. Instead they would say "we sell paracetamol. It's reliable, it's simple, it's cheap, it works, and it's well studied, like it or lump it". Those effects would be real, potentially some combos could be life-changing for some individuals. But the sheer complexity of it makes it almost impossible to actually nail that down in any scientifically rigorous way.
I'm not saying terpenes don't matter, don't have an effect, etc. I'm simply saying that science is both complicated, expensive, and very, very, immature, so to expect a pharmaceutical company to produce drugs based on how their patients "feel" instead of waiting for that science to become mature and then acting from that point is just not how that industry works or should work.
So that's why I doubt any pharmacies are going to go to the bother of adding synthetic terpenes to their products. It's just so much less hassle to say "terpenes? What are those? We'll respond to complaints about terpenes once the science shows its a vital part of the medicine well punt".
The combinatorics alone makes terpene science so complex that we are many, many, many years away from terpene science being much more than a highly individualised set of anecdotes.
