You best just guessing by what's on the scoop, you can measure half and quarter scoops yourself, definitely no need for a smaller one

Yep that’s what I do now. Haven’t touched the mini scoop since it arrived, which is a shame. Just much easier to use the included scoop.

I just imagined at the time that it would help me manage dose sizes, filling to the top. But I stopped worrying too much about it now and just eye it up.

Yeah you get used to using the scoop and after a bit of time its easily guessed

I was used to filling a mighty cap to the top and that was about 0.2g max. Then put the rest aside for the next cap.

The included scoop says it’s 0.2g, but I was finding I was able to put in 0.35g easily without a problem

When I first bought the WOHW, I blew through that months prescription without realising

I said drop it in above, but a tool like this is the one other thing I would buy. You don’t really want to touch concentrates with your fingers if you can help it, as some are so sticky or crumbly you’ll never get it off your fingers and into the banger.

As it turns out, at (almost the grand old age of 50) I bought my first concentrate a couple of weeks ago but finding it a bit of a faff with blow torching the banger, I've burned concentrate twice and my thumb once ! I actually bought a dab tool kit at the time so thanks

Can you explain to me simply lol, what a nail banger does differently to a quartz banger and are they worth it/easy to use?

I’m not sure what you mean by nail banger? Do you mean the ones that come with some bongs? It’s like a pin with a globe around it?

Only the 25mm XL size bangers fit the WOHW though. You would need a blowtorch for the others.

There’s titanium nails and there’s all sorts of different style quartz bangers.

It’s quite easy to get the hang of.

That's right, its the ones with the pin. There's lots of different makes and designs. I think i would probably prefer the glass and wand but I've not tried any of them. I have my Utillian 6 which is amazing and use this more than my wand

When using a blowtorch I was timing it to be consistent. Heat the banger up for around 30s, then let it cool for 20-30s drop the dab in and cap it and immediately start pulling in it.

You have to play with the timing for yourself with different quartz thickness and bong size. As it will be a different temp to another setup. Thinner quartz looses temp quicker.

Those nails are awful to use. I had one when I first bought a rig for concentrates. When it melts it drops most of the concentrate into the rig without vaporising it. It needs a good surface area to sit and bubble and turn into vapour. I’ve had all sorts of styles and sizes over the years, but an XL Quartz banger is what works the best. It’s also the most practical and easy to clean.

First attempt - fail - burnt thumb !
Second attempt - perfect drew off it about 6 times, the place cloudy as fook !
Never recreated thus far !
