Does Autism count as a treatable condition for clinics to prescribe ?

I've recently been looking into getting a private prescription and while the help has been great so far I've been so fixated on which clinic to choose I completely forgot about the conditions clinics can prescribe for.

I have Autism and Insomnia (closely associated with Autism) and I checked CB1 Medical, Alternaleaf and Mamedica® and CB1 doesn't have it as a treatable condition and neither does Mamedica but Alternaleaf does.

I'm just confused I thought Autism was one of the conditions that qualified by all clinics but now it seems only SOME clinics do and not the ones I've looked at and that I think are a good fit for me.

I'm worried now that I won't even be eligible for a prescription in any clinic and if I'm not even gonna be eligible for it then what's the point 😕 ?

Go with Alternaleaf if you want to use cartridges (y)

Definitely treated by alternaleaf and to be honest there are alot of conditions that won't necessarily be listed but will still be eligible

I'm gonna have to go with them then if CB1 Medical and most others don't prescribe for Autism hopefully they're good.

Thanks for the advice lad 👍
I'll just point out many patients with Autism get Medical Cannabis and it shouldn't be a stumbling block . (y)

I just got super worried cause I know how restrictive the guidelines are I needed to be sure.

That's not the only stumbling block though because then comes the "2 treatment rule" where you need to have tried two different medications/treatments for your condition.

The issue is the last time I had any form of therapy was speech and physical therapy when I was a kid (I'm 28 now) and I've never had to take any pharmaceutical medications nor have I ever had a desire to.

Now I don't know if that's also going to be a problem cause as I understand it that's the deciding question that let's the clinician/doctor know if it'll be suitable to prescribe medication.

As far as I'm aware you have to have been prescribed 2 medications from GP before
Therapies and counselling can count also but basically it's down to the clinician, also your success with treating symptoms with BM for a period of time can all help them in making a decision I'd of thought and if not successful with the first I'd definitely persevere with this but here's hoping all goes well from the off .

@DominikDoherty Be open and honest about BM usage, how it helps you manage any conditions you have - you will be fine (y)
That's what I'm gonna have to do cause I asked my mother if she remembered me taking any medications or if I had any treatments when I was a kid and she said no.

I had the bare minimum of therapy when I was a kid and like I said before I had neither the need or the want to take any medications.

So really all I have is Autism, insomnia and self diagnosed depression and I self medicate for those reasons 😅

I'll just have to apply for a consultation and see how it goes I suppose 😅

These are reasons many self medicate for and I myself have had little NHS medication luckily and I explained that on my consultation with Cannabis Clinic Cardiff and also explained how it had helped me for many years prior to Medical Cannabis ,also its the symptoms they treat like for example anxiety, insomnia ,low mood, pain etc which can be common symptoms for many people regardless of there main condition.
