Clinics Getting help to pay for a prescription.

Beyond benefits like PIP/ESA there isn't really any support available to cover costs. There's a couple of schemes to help reduce the cost of either clinic fees, or medication itself slightly - though there's also cheaper options available outside of those schemes.

(just noticed the Curaleaf price there is wrong, will update momentarily)

A very small amount of patients do get their treatment covered via private insurance, but you couldn't now go and take out a policy with pre-existing conditions as they wouldn't be covered.

Unfortunately while medical cannabis is limited to private clinics only, it's unlikely we'll ever see costs fully covered.

Thats whats pip is for they will say. In England you could apply to the trust for funding but unsure of what form. You would need to look into the first person to get his script paid for by the NHS i forget the details as well.

So I have started the PIP process via the phone today. I am getting the forms via email soon. Anything to keep in mind, any good advice?
Yes they automatically reject the first application and will basically give you zero across the board.

This is so when you look and go FFS they are hoping you will go away. Half the people do not bother. Ask for the mandatory reconsideration.

That's when they will give you a few points but not enough to claim anything. And finally you will have to go to a tribunal at court in front of a judge. Sounds scary it's not (Again the PIP people I know soon as they say court , judge and tribunal another bunch especially those with things like autism will walk away) they just want to know the facts and the judge will follow the letter of the law. At my tribunal

Exactly what I was a bit afraid of, pushing me into ADHD hell with the unnecessary process. But unfortunately for them I can redirect my dopamine peaks into hyperfocus if I feel wronged, so I won't let it go 😂

Also try and find a local disability charity or people on various forums. They know how to write in a way that registers more points.

You may summarise one thing in a certain way

They may summarise the same thing saying the exact same thing in a different way that gets the boxes ticked.

PiP , ESA There's a sight called benefits and work. I think it was £15 - £20 to join but worth every penny imo. The info and explanation on how the best way to fill the forms. Good luck 🤞
