Q/. Is this Pave S1 definately non-irradiated cannabis? Something's been done to it, but what? Which, remediation method might cause the density to become so hard and solid? Pave S1 tastes and grinds ok, but doesn't manually crumble by hand properly and I fell its still slightly muted with an obvious medical focus rather than a recreational drive. This is something that I've spotted with Green Karat brand and I'm wondering, why I'm not getting the great pt xp? Pave S1 and London Marker have both had rave reviews, but I am not that keen with either or any of their other strains/cultivars I've used to medicate. Whatever they're doing to it I don't like it, not for me even though I understand that these are so popular, I cannot workout exactly why!
Summary
It is highly unlikely that "remediation" is causing the density you are experiencing, as remediation (like irradiation) typically degrades density and moisture, making buds "fluffier" or prone to crumbling into dust. Instead, you are likely encountering high-performance commercial growing techniques that favor structural rigidity and mass, combined with a standardised, fast-tracked drying process that prioritises stability over the preservation of the delicate terpene profiles you are looking for.
It sounds like your preference is for flower that retains its "biological architecture"—the soft, sticky, and terpene-rich quality found in smaller-batch, slower-cured environments—which is notoriously difficult to find in the current, large-scale medical supply chain.
Given your focus on Patient Experience (Pt XP) have you found any specific cultivars or suppliers in the UK market that better align with your expectations for terpene preservation?
Yes. Dalgety BOB, CannFX PM, ZA and GM, Seed Junky's PM, Cookies A&B, Grassroots BD, Four20GP, CURO SB and VASCO BL and BB (smalls). Much better density and feel IMO
