Hi all, I’m new here and a new patient
Having had years of medication after a road traffic accident medication that didn’t help me much I’ve decided to try MC
My main symptoms are severe muscle spasms, pain, insomnia and anxiety I would be grateful if anyone could give me some advice on what flowers work for them symptoms
I had Releaf blackberry t20 which actually helped I was surprised but the others they gave me do not work for me so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks

Welcome @Mahm, sorry to hear of your issues, there are many on here with similar health issues so you are in good hands here for any advice and recommendations.
I'm not familiar with your clinics formulary but there are plenty of strains available that would probably suit you as @GrownHealth has put to you.
If your totally new to Cannabis Treatment your clinic will probably keep you on lower THC flower/oils/carts/pastilles or balanced strains until they are happy your are ok with your Cannabis Treatment.
Have you used Cannabis before or is this your first time?

Actually those strains are on the stronger side but effective and if new to cannabis they would probably need building up to tolerance wise in hindsight 🙏

hello and welcome, I've only tried a few strains but I find Green Karat modified gas very good for pain but it can be quite strong so sometimes i will just have the 1st 2 inhales from my vapouriser. I have also found AAAA apricot cream cheese good and that is not too strong and is what i tend to use during the day

Hi, thanks for your message
Yes I have used cannabis before recreationallyi tried it but it made my symptoms worse the spasms got worse but with this medical cannabis i don’t get spasms it puts a stop to it!
I never knew they used cannabis medicinally until recently so I thought I’d give it a go and it actually worked for the spasms I was surprised!

You should be fine on your journey now 👍, your legal too 😉. Medical Cannabis is better for your health issues and for many other reasons. You never know how the strains are going to effect you with BM and how its been grown ect, A bad batch can put you in A+E.

Hi, do you have access to Alternaleaf pharmacy Montu? If so could you suggest me 3 strains one for sleep as I have difficulty sleeping I’ve been taking benzodiazepines such as Xnax Clonezepam and diazepam but need to stop taking them and take the medical cannabis and one for deep muscle relaxation as I get severe muscle spasms and one for daytime to uplift my mood and keep anxiety away
My repeat is due next week I’ve had apple and banana T20 don’t think much of it I had pineapple god makes me cough
Many thanks

hi, thanks for the above that’s the sleep sorted can you recommend me something for deep muscle relaxation some Indica strains high THC and CBD to give me a couch lock feeling and a strain for mood uplifting please I have my repeat prescription due in a few days
Many thanks

I would absolutely recommend to try this strain through the day if it is within your means as it has high CBD and a decent amount of THC and it shocked me how well it worked in the mornings with keeping anxiety in check but giving me the drive to get things done but not negative in anyway apart from if I used it late in the day it would keep me awake (y)

As for the muscle relaxant hopefully someone else will add their input as I couldn't think of the top of my head what to suggest that has actually worked but I'm sure others will have plenty of experience of such strains 🙏

I've placed the Montu formulary below for anyone to look through(y)

Suzy q 1 of the best strains for muscle spasm and its a high CBD strain 17/1 CBD to THC ratio main terpenes is Myrcene , Pinene, Caryophyllene, Humulene.
Northern lights great for spasms as well main terp Caryophyllene.

Grown health recommending apricot cheese is a good strain and 1 of the best if not the best CBD strain on MC right now and would be a great way to start the day.
A very high THC very sedative profile with fuel, earth , spice which is Myrcene , Humulene,Caryophyllene would be ideal for late evening.

  • Caryophyllene: This terpene has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, which may help to reduce inflammation and muscle spasms. Caryophyllene can be found in Bubba Kush and is responsible for giving the strain its earthy and coffee undertones.
  • Myrcene: Myrcene is the most common terpene in cannabis and can be seen in ADCD, Grandaddy Purple, and Charlotte's Web. This terpene has sedative effects, perfect for inducing sleep and reducing spasticity.
  • Linalool: This terpene is fragrant and floral, so it may be a good choice if you prefer the smell of lavender. Furthermore, Linalool has sedative and anti-inflammatory effects, which may be useful in reducing muscle spasms.
Having epilepsy after a seizure i needed Myrcene as my main driver with THC to put me to sleep and relax my muscles.

Caryophyllene mentions bubba and its available on MC 4C Labs think its smalls but my mate had it and its a nice green pheno bubba in the 20s THC and a slight sedative profile perfect for early evening.

Sudz 17% might be a nice profile for during the day for you also but i would look at even pastilles , vapes and CBD strains and high THC sedative strains.

The Northern Lights is definitely good for spasms, nerve and muscle. I'm just having some Northern Lights Rosin to finnish the night off as i've used the flower all day so its that little bit more effective for throughout the night. I suffer bad at times with spasms, nerve damage. I'm also using the Alaskan Thunder and actually finding this is very relaxing for the muscles for a Sativa, its nicely balanced.
