Hiya Dave Welcome to forum! Well done making the change from BM. We got quite a few Ma medica patients here who will know and be able to answer that. Cheers

Welcome to the Forum @Dave147# and you'll find friendly helpful people here to help you with your step onto medical cannabis and having been through the same experience with the same clinic in the past it took about a week from consultation to the point of receiving my medical cannabis but this can take a less time sometimes and maybe a couple of days more but a week is what it actually took me and some clinics have sped this process up now .

You will actually get your prescription approved through a Multi Disciplinary Team as you are a new patient normally within a day of your consultancy.
Usually then it will be forwarded to the dispensary where they will send you an invoice and order your goods if they don't already have them .
Once paid and the products in stock the products will be posted by Royal Mail special next day before 1pm delivery and you receive a tracking number and can track it till it's delivered .
Mamedica® will have official timescales for this that may be longer but It was a week in all for me from consultancy and others have been a little longer. (y)

I haven't had my first prescription yet bud i am waiting for my first consultation my doc should be sending over my SCR and current medication today so hopefully not to long .but I'll ask you the same questions how's the bud 😉..

Haha I thought u might - I'm a naughty smoker and currently using https://medbud.wiki/strains/therismos/craft-atg-t29/ excellent for me but still way overpriced. Budget strain is https://medbud.wiki/strains/curaleaf/cura-8-t21/ which is great value.

It ranges wildly from dry terpless stuff to some that I find real nice and I've used canna for over 30 years and it seems your joining Medical just as quality seems to be stepping up again so decent timing on your part lol.
Also depends what you need to treat as well as although we all have that love of top bud we have to balance it with serving our medical needs and costs can be limiting for some but some lovely strains are available a lot of new ones have just become available and the fact there is 120 strains available today is amazing frankly although with Mamedica® you will have access to most of them but not all.
A few of the forum favourites (y)

@Dave147# are you aware there are other clinics that are cheaper to join as in CB1 Medical where @node and many other members have joined recently as their service is great thus far and are only £50/year to join and they sort your SCR for you and did this with my wife in a day and are rapid at taking new members on .
Also I've recently joined Cannabis Clinic Cardiff where I have the access to all medications if suitable and I think the only clinic to offer and are very informative and this and worth taking a look at if you about to pay a large sum to join Mamedica® whom I have recently transferred from .
I feel I have to highlight this to you before you start your journey (y)

.I choose Mamedica® because of drew on YouTube many thanks .
I did too lol.

I'm on long term benefits as a carer for my wife and have to watch the pennies but I recently had a bad experience with mamedica albeit after being pretty satisfied to a point for over a year .
I recently transferred to Cannabis Clinic Cardiff as I believe they have the best service and are focused on their patients needs added to the fact they give access to all medications allowed in the UK and also if you are on long term benefits you will qualify for GAP discounts which can save money each month .I would say the may appear expensive but if you were about to join the Mamedica access scheme it costs similar to join Cardiff but Cardiff has access to discounts ,the down side with Cardiff is the £33/month fee but savings are easy to make with discounts and better choice .

My wife recently joined CB1 Medical as a new Medical Cannabis patient and it costs £50/year and £7.95/month postage ,they dealt with the SCR with her approval and have been fantastic since but again not all medicines are available but a good amount is available with them and many members here are really satisfied with the service they are receiving .

Mamedica® access scheme is the cheapest option over time £200 for everything
There are some stuff they don’t have but are ok
Actually if you add the postage in it changes everything on cost,
Mamedica would be £200 and that's it forever
CB1 Medical would be in total £140 1st year and each year after so the cost equation swings in Mamedica's favour there after a year now .
