Branching Up
At the start of this month, I separated out a few buds of the cheaper strain on my script (zour apples by Curaleaf) and instead of putting into my usual jar with mini hygrometer, adding a boveda pack as and when needed, I put it into a small grove bag, along with a hygrometer to ensure accuracy.
It has sat in there for the last three weeks, at between 61-63% humidity.
The rest of the pack inside the Jar, has had the boveda in and out all month to keep the humidity right. At first it was too wet, now it’s dry and lacking terps.
I’ve found the effects have changed a little with it over the month to. It’s more sedating than it was at first, causing a twenty minute or so “time loss” after medicating. I don’t enjoy strains/batches that do this before settling down. It’s usually a sign of poor harvest/cure in my opinion.
I will be vaping the grove bag stashed buds tomorrow. They already smell different to the jar, fresher, and more of the apple scent. I’ll report back with an updated review!
Info-
mini hygrometers can be found on Amazon, they are used in horticulture for loads of stuff.
Grove bags are best found via hydroponics stockists, they are cure bags for harvesting hemp flowers. I’m using them as potential storage, they allow for humidity to be adjusted without the need for a boveda pack, meaning no loss of terps. Supposedly better for your flower!
