I first seen boveda and bought them after seeing youtuber jason wilcox(R.I.P.) review cvault storage about 11 years ago and i felt it made the difference and been using them on and off since.

Since i have seen alot of discussion saying they steal terpenes rather than save them so i am asking whats peoples views on bovedas efficiency in saving or enhancing terpenes or muting them.

Alot of discussion saying integra boost is better than boveda and people saying cure without is better. Integra uses glycerin and water where as boveda is potassium citrate and water and xanthan gum, Does the different soloution produce different % in terpenes. They say that you are not meant to smell the bud as boveda meant to stop offgasing and trap the terpene inside am i right in thinking so its said that you will taste it over smelling it and only when ground would you smell it n thats the purpose of boveda for long term storage , Integra from what i see stews in its own monoterps offgassing inside jar wehter true or not is debatable but would boveda enhance protect more sequiterps vs integra. Mono v sequiterps should be looked at does integra smell better but boveda taste better?

There is no question it gives moisture and bounce back into the bud but at what cost is the question.

Whats peoples views on integras terpene boost packs, I dont like the way the industry is going with all of this adding back in terpenes but here they are.

Heres a vs video of inegra v boveda v traditional cure without humidity packs

Boveda claim that the only thing that can pass through their membrane is water. My observational experience is that as a minimum the nose is muted. Just got to look at the death bubba thread, everyone that got the grapefruit stuff and jarred it with a boveda noticed a major reduction in the citrus and other scents started to therefore stand out more.

I'm grabbing a popcorn for this one and when they think they've bottomed it out I'll throw potato peel into the mix!

Yip me included with death bubba with 2 bovedas where the metalic terp that was more related to the grapefruit terp became the dominant 1 and aniseed went away but citrus would maybe be more volatile and 1st to go and as i was saying would the monoterps stew offfgas or be contained with boveda and does the taste increase but all that comes down to not opening it to oxidise and keeping at a solid room temp but most patients are opening and shutting jars like me so hard to tell n pinpoint

I thought I'd switch things up regarding boveda use this month and saw what I believe to be an improvement. I've always been on the fence but this has made my mind up.

I've always just kept the boveda in irradiated flowers for the whole time. This month I left a boveda in for four days and removed it. The difference to my flower was noticeable. More smell, terpenes felt more alive in my vape and a nice spongyness not too dry not too damp.

I think bovedas are good for the initial boost to save what you can and then it may potentially steal some terpenes and goodness over the next few weeks. I could be majorly wrong but that's my experience and two pence. Happy weekend ladies and gents

Im with this to be honest.

ive started to consume one bag at a time. its tough to do, due to the other bags calling your name from across the room to "try me now", but i open bag, transfer half into a jar with a boveda and sealed
then the other half remains in the easy open pouch with boveda bag, and i find im getting the best bang for my buck to be honest

I have never used bovedas

I've sadly run out now after collecting piles of them when at Mamedica® and will probably order some bigger size ones and higher % ones to increase humidity before pressing flower but I do find they work well and a couple of suggestions in thread make perfect sense to get the best or improvement out of our flower .

I just have never used them before. I have never really had any really dry weed on medical though .
I've been getting the short dated stuff recently and some has been pretty dry and that's why I've used them up but I'm going for fresher stuff from now on for a bit ,just less of it in the hope of getting better effects .

One thing I've noticed on my MC journey is it's pure luck how the batch is and what comes at the time 🤣
Had a batch of delahaze last script I needed a boveda in for about a week, then this month I left it without and it's been fresh and stinking the whole time 🤔
