Clinic
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 CB1 Medical
I was wondering what clinic people recommend who have been using med for a while and have moved clinics, hindsight you have experienced. I am with releaf but they do not appear to offer prescriptions to use elsewhere and will not discuss what they have available with me. Although they are very quick and efficient I need to have some choice to find what is right for me, so may look into moving clinics in the coming months. I would say in hindsight releaf is probably one of the best clinics for someone new to med can who has not experienced it before, but for someone used to it it’s frustrating not being able to choose what you want, I sit in envy looking at users here and what they have available and choose each month.

I have read the clinic list and note which other users are with, I am tempted to try CB1 Medical, Curaleaf, or Mamedica®. The cost of consultation and moving is not really a concern, its more about having a good range to choose from to find the right one for me.

Afternoon @Moon I would add to that list Cardiff Cannabis Clinic as they have access to all pharmacy's and medicine's and will happily split the prescription between pharmacy's to make sure you get exactly what you require/need.

Hi @GrownHealth thanks for that, i note they are expensive for consultation £250 and have a monthly fee of £33 which is chearper than releafs £40, but only have good reviews from users. Added to my list. How is your other half finding CB1 Medical? You are with Mamedica® are you happy with them? CB1 appear to make moving very easy and cheap.

My wife's journey so far has been smooth ,obviously it's me as her carer dealing with a lot of things but I find a new experience with options to use different pharmacy's will take a bit of getting used to as prior to this month I've only ever used Mamedica Pharmacy with no real problems over the last 16 or so months. This month I exercised my right to use a Pharmacy of my choosing ,as the discounted products I wanted were not available on Mamedica's formulary so I have diverted my prescription to IPS Pharma where I can get the products I want . This incurred a £10 admin cost ,but saved me plenty.
I do know others on here already use outside pharmacies with CB1 and are just a bit further down the CB1 journey .

With transferring I imagine you may already have your Summary Care Record and if you have this makes transferring to most clinics easy I would expect ,
Whilt it is a big advantage for people who struggle to obtain their SCR that CB1 Medical can do it themselves .

Also to bear in mind with Cardiff you can obtain multiple discounts and make savings that way every script and if you were not transferring which you can do for free to a few clinics, I would recommend Cardiff highly on what I've learnt since being here but £250 is a big stumbling block admittedly for transferring ,where as it was the norm for me when I became a new patient to pay such a fee.

Thanks @GrownHealth

CB1 Medical, very capable + free too. I think most clinics need to follow cb1 model with no big outlay. Its also recognising that many patients are in receipt of benefits (mostly drip-fed) and don't have the means or use credit etc. Cardiff I hear equally good things about too.

Thanks @node cb1 and cardiff getting good reviews. Tempted with both, will decide in January.

Welcome mate. I think a smart move would be to try free first. doesn't suit then try cardiff. edit to add tho give a bit of balance its a highly personal choice based on a load of factors only you know best.

Its a sort of rock and hard place as usual when moneys a factor, it surely is for most given the increases in costs for us all. My last order was from Newgrove so have been testing the pharmacies out. Just checking out a few things but will post the results (prob new year) of my quick&dirty pharmacy testing. Its only my extremely limited experience(s) but its legit and I can show evidence. The rewrite times appear to be one of several good metrics - when we are facing constant stock issues.

Update: Applied to CB1 Medical on Tuesday mid pm, great communications via email to get me setup, passed eligibility as I had my medical summary to upload. Today (Friday) just had my video conference, really friendly doctor, went through my conditions, and explained why I want to move from releaf regarding quantity allowed and having choice. I am now allowed up to 60g per month which they state is maximum, except in exceptional circumstances they will go to 90 but requires a full team meeting, 60 is fine for me (I can order less). Prescription made up, awaiting receipt to pay. I am advised to await delivery and see if I am happy before requesting a discharge letter from releaf made out to me that I will forward to cb1, I will do this next week when my prescription arrives.

Overall, a great experience, my anxiety and stress over moving clinic has gone. Thanks to all who advised me especially @GrownHealth @Dooby Doo

I ordered 10g of each of these:
Tyson 2.0 ND T26 (26% THC, <1% CBD) N.Y.C. Diesel x 1
Grow T18 Gelato (18% THC, <1% CBD) x 1
Curaleaf Lavender Cake T20 (20% THC, <1% CBD) x 1
Aurora® T24 LAC-CA (24% THC, <1% CBD) L.A. Confidential x 1
Four20 GMO T30 (30% THC, <1% CBD) Garlic Mushroom Onion x 1
Grow T25 Frosted Lemon Angel (25% THC, <1% CBD) x 1

I will now be trying different strains until i find what works best for me.

Nice hearing that your finally happy and more importantly your anxiety over this has eased, also pleasing to hear you were able to get listened to and provided the flexability to get the medicines you believe will help also the parameters of what's available should you need it sounds pretty reassuring too. Looking at your prescription it seems you did your homework 😁before your appointment and what you describe sounds like they couldn't of made you more welcome .
Sort of feel good factor beaming out of there ,long may it last.(y)

Just noticed a couple of the brand new ones that have come onto their formulary the new Terpz Papaya and Terpz Kandy Terpz strains I think the first is an Indica Hybrid but plenty of time till your next script and lots of new strains ,but also a lot of stuff that's been round for a bit you may love at least you can explore them now .

It's the way it should be, great service 👏, I love the formulary in the app. You can put forward onto your prescription your choice of flower, for your next prescription, if your Doc agrees, bobs your uncle and fanny's your aunt 🤣😁😎. Great service from CB1.
