The difference between BM and some homegrown by a caring cultivator can be a big difference again and I notice the difference in effects in a way as I only needed about half as much homegrown in the past compared to MC and having tried some locally produced stuff recently it was superior in strength I found and lasted longer .
I'm going purely off the cali mids-top shelf available in my area right now and kinda uk in general, if you have a reliable consistant grower that has mastered his grows then thats a different story
It's different when done for yourself mate and organic and nothing added because of commercial pressures for yield etc and it's left to ripen properly then not transported and handled by tom dick and harry ,you get the picture
I still don't think the THC figures are out of the question or the terpenes lacking in most of the MC I've had so far, most of them have already been proven with the purplepro in most of smacksalads reviews
Sorry Betty I've got to disagree about the THC levels and terpenes, I've been a heavy BM user and ex grower for almost 25 years before medical, tried almost every strain you can imagine and MC is definitely a strong rival against BM if not better nowadays. Don't really know how to help on this occasion just hope you manage to find something that works for you MC or non-MC...
Can I ask what you meant when you said Medicann doesn't give you the freedom to choose either? This has been winding up lol...
I meant Medicann don’t give me the freedom to choose/try every MC flower available across all pharmacies, for example if I’m searching for a type of flower or see a review that tempts me, if it’s not listed on their app- I can’t try it and can’t request it if it’s not on the IPS stock…I might have wanted to try the Muzo stock for example but that’s not available at Medicann.
Switching to another clinic doesn’t seem wise either, that’d be like an alcoholic paying to get into a pub that only sells non alcoholic drinks. Pointless!
BM isn’t that definitive, I’ve tried hundreds of strains and grown plenty too but there’s soo many variometers involved, you can only judge by your own experiences and your BM is clearly different to mine.
I just left Liverpool and it’s a competitive top quality BM where I lived, lots of secret BM coffee shops and street vendors. The flower is the same quality as Amsterdam Cafes were 20 years ago. My ppl are organic and cheaper than the streets but if I had to rely on my local BM I could because it’s stronger than MC and far better quality.
Not got a problem with the BM in my new city either, just the way it’s provided. Guy half my age turned up on a moped in broad daylight, opened a man bag and started waving around a load of different strains for me to see and smell without any discretion. Decent stuff but I’m too old for that kind of transaction.
I’m concerned about MC, surely pumping all the plants with ‘boosters’ and not flushing them out properly would have a long term effect on health. I’m shocked by the amount I can taste in it, really spoils the rainbow pave-needed at least a weeks more flush and it may have been less erm fumesy, but instead it’s like trying to vape or puff on a blunt next to a bonfire. That’s what I taste every time ( Cannabis with a touch of bonfire in every inhale and exhale) apart from 1st bag of runtz. Never had that bonfire tinge on any BM I’ve bought in my life just on MC.
I was also surprised and confused at how much I saw MC patients were consuming each month and how they were able to tolerate that amount even when considering various medical conditions and tolerances. I’ve now learned that it’s because it’s not as potent as good quality BM, therefore you need to consume much much much more in order to feel any medicinal benefits, even if it’s only a slight benefit when compared to BM. Great for MC sales profits margins but not good for health unless you’ve got very deep pockets and have never had good quality organic cannabis, grown with love for the benefit of health not profit. Now worthy of travelling across city’s to get lol.
I’ll gamble on 10g a month from now on (maybe I’ll hit the jackpot one month) and have a chat with the Dr to see what he thinks…probably discharge me for speaking my truth.

Carefully cultivated cannabis effects can last 4-12hours depending on medical conditions…I consume cannabis every 4-6 hours in spring-summer and every 2-4 in winter months/flare ups…I felt no medical benefit from MC, my first MC Runtz was consumed alongside my favourite daytime BM Green Kush aka Green crack, when that ran out everything went downhill and Green Kush is listed as 17% on leafly.

Using HPLC, we analyzed THC potency in 23 samples from 10 dispensaries throughout the Colorado Front Range and compared the results to the THC potency reported on the packaging. Average observed THC potency was 14.98 +/- 2.23%, which is substantially lower than recent reports summarizing dispensary reported THC potency. The average observed THC potency was 23.1% lower than the lowest label reported values and 35.6% lower than the highest label reported values. I got 2 lots of the same batch of this. The first bag was 10/10 but the 2nd bag was 5/10. Smelt very chemically and much less potent. Feel like I’m playing a cannabis lottery and gambling on 10g is a lot. I’ve had mouldy Gazzurple, terrible lot420 Gelato 33, Rainbow Pave was my latest and final gamble and it’s the least potent flower I’ve ever had. Looks great smells okay tasted awful.
Only 1 of the 5 bags was decent, not having good medicine made me ill. My first month of MC has been educational. Took me a few days to get well again after visiting a ‘local pharmacy’. Medicann doesn’t give me freedom to choose either. Should’ve started with a clinic that gave me more freedom.
