Site Updates Main Database: Forgotten Password Requests Fixed

General updates on development of the MedBud platform as a whole.
I'm actually not 100% immediately sire what's happened here, our spam filter actually says the account wasn't blocked - but then I can see also the user record wasn't created. There's a chance it was instead blocked by Google Recaptcha.

Leave this with me briefly please, I need to do some testing and see what's happening.
 
Okay, so I believe it was our Google Recaptcha implementation which failed here - instead of loading a 'challenge' (a captcha puzzle) it instead just declined the registration altogether - after our anti-spam filter let you through. Both of the anti-spam measures are tied to the same error message.

If you try again (sorry!) - hopefully it will work okay now. I'm glad at least we're identifying and fixing bugs that will affect other users too.

I'm using firefox (fairly bolted down) and did not see a captcha. i can try with chrome or edge if you want.
 
Firefox should be all fine, but I've always noticed (as a Firefox user myself) Google penalises the browser more heavily on captchas.

Registration successful, a confirmation email has been sent to .........@...... for approval. Email confirmation links are valid for 24 hours, please accept before logging in.
Did it in firefox.
Just awaiting the email.
 
Perfect, glad to see it - for the moment I have Google's Recaptcha down, but our main spam filter is still up.
Still waiting email, but have noticed it can take a while at other signups, timed server send recieve i guess. Will post back when it arrives.
 
Yes, I don't think we'll offer the functionality right on the site (we disabled it here on the forum as names were changing often, and we have to manually backdate tags for each post) - but it can be manually done when necessary.

I'll get your alias there changed over to @Lank72 too momentarily (y)

In general I'm trying to plan through an ability to 'link' accounts - so when posting reviews on the main site, there's extra stats for the user if they're also on the forum.

Definitely happy to help with that (managing and executing UAT is part of my day-job), so I think I'll be able to give something back to the site that way (y)

Thank you, I've updated to make it clearer. It's intended to be the date of your first UK cannabis prescription, as reviews and such will state how long someone has been a patient for (unless posted anonymously).

My first was 27/11/2024 if you can edit, not that it matters as i only had 2 products from releaf then! Thanks for sorting my account and concerns!
 
Hey thanks for looking into this

I managed to:
- Receive a 'forgotten password' email this time
- Got the temp password
- Managed to login via my phone's web browser
- Changed my password

Outstanding issues I'm seeing are:
1. My account now shows as 'unverified', though I have been through the veritifcation process before (uploaded a prescription copy etc)
2. When I then try and login to the main site via my pc browser using the new password it says that the email / password combo is incorrect

Still can’t login or change password cannot look at most recent updates to prices n product on Medbudwiki.com I made a profile I’ve just forgotten password
