Suggested MedBud Live TV/Radio Channels

Was thinking in my medicated mind it might be a cool idea to add like a TV and Radio channel to the site, TV channel has 24 hour streaming of cannabis patient related material (products/reviews/patient news etc) Radio channel is just a 24 stream that has a mixture of all our kinda favourite songs etc... Idk lemme know what you think?

Would like both to have a live chat system if possible so we can have a laugh with each other in real time while watching/listening to things etc

It's weirdly synchronistic you're posting this @THCUK, weekend before last I actually wrote some experimental code to automatically load all the most recent reviews, query the Google/YouTube API as to which are age restricted (and which can be embedded on our site) - then play them in a randomised order. Idea was for a review player as a 24/7 video feed.

Basically shuffle on the past 50 YouTube reviews (API limit), minus any that can't be displayed according to the API.

Code is already working fine, though I was designing it as a customisable sidebar option for MedBud 2.0. Idea is we allow users to select their right sidebar and customise the order, from things like most recent edits, new listings, forum posts, news articles, YouTube reviews, med calculator etc. - as well as the review player idea above.

As you're one of five included in our BETA programme right now, I can actually give you permission to see - I'll make some comments in the private BETA forum soon as I can get it sorted

I was picturing more of a queue that someone (me, you, gh or whomever) regularly adds random/patient related content to, similar to the YouTube queue thing

People could queue up to 5 songs per day per account or something like that

I'm not that keen on a radio station/music playlist officially, as music is incredibly subjective in general. I don't feel there could be a 'one size fits all' solution.

Problem is maintaining extra things, we're already pretty rammed daily on the amount of things we have to maintain between us. If we have a 24/7 stream, I feel it should be automated/unbiased/randomised, as opposed to anyone trying to specifically curate it.

We already spend the time every day updating reviews (99% @GrownHealth at the moment!), so it's easy to launch something based on that. Any more, will require putting more weight on our shoulders, which I'm bluntly reluctant to do until we have the time to train and bring more volunteers on-board.
