Institutionalised sadly, we were paying our sailors in rum centuries ago ffs, kids used to drink beer because the water wasn't fit for consumption, when that wasn't early enough for the rothschilds of this world they came up with gripe water

Honestly, even if it's overly cautious in terms of drug interactions, people should honour their prescription's request not to consume alcohol. It gives people a reason to avoid it they wouldn't otherwise have, and every reason to avoid alcohol is a good one because it is truly horrible toxic stuff.
