I've found that many pubs, if you speak to someone beforehand, will let you medicate.

I don't often take advantage, but sometimes I'm outright invited to medicate at the bar, so it would be rude not to...

I never ever saw trouble in coffeeshops in NL - lived there four years - even with the serious criminal types who sometimes frequented them. Also I heard that at top level in NL the authorities like it because it reduces volume of troubles for them, so they can focus on taxing the hell out of the big wigs.

Reckon this is going to get more popular as pubs that are struggling for custom would embrace this and once seen as a positive it could balloon.

I would love to get involved with a community one - doesn't need drink licence more like a cafe or a true Koffieshop.

If where I lived wasn't so small, I'd've tried to set up some sort of group by now.

I do a lot of litterpicking and had considered trying to build something off that but it's basically just going to be me doing my thing pretending to be a group so I've not really gone any further in that plan

has anyone been banned for medicating outside a pub? i've been barred from my local which i've been using since 2004...it's funny because other people smoke weed outside reguarly...i explained before to the doorman and manager and they were fine but a young bar maid started working there and she told the whole pub i was 'doing drugs inside the pub'....one guy threatened to 'smash my head in' and i'm a woman...isn't this inciting hatred?....i explained that i have a disability arthritis and injuries and am medically prescribed it and it's not illegal, i was also only using a CBD one which i tried to explain you can buy from 2 shops down the road and legally smoke....not that that should matter...she's given me a handwritten note stating 'we do not allow cannabis use on our premises' and she is a horrible bully

This is stigma and bullying and discrimination in the eyes of the law, and a few of these bullies need sueing I think to get the message across

You shouldn't be treated badly or like a criminal for going about your lawful business, enjoying a pint in the local like anyone else

i think there's more to it i think i'm stepping on dealer toes promoting the medical stuff without realising cos i'm a bit dumb...and maybe putting my name on here is a bit dumb as well but these are real issues that we face aren't they? i never really thought about the dealer toes until just this second it clicked....

i actually printed this off and took it in twice....one barmaid said she didnt think i was banned and i had a drink with the manager there....then i went back and that horrible barmaid humiliated me again and thats when i got threatened by the bloke she chats to at the bar...

It could be just speech but would fit in with other reasoning and with the worries you have I probably would suggest you contact CannCareUK where you can talk in confidence and private to get the support/advice on this considering the fears you have.
