I am guessing that most are aware of Kier Stalins latest slap to the UK's collective face with a rotten haddock. As an ex police constable and a veteran of the RAF Police I see nothing but danger in this proposal. There are too many red flags from things as simple as data theft by hackers, the BritishBrainwashingCompany have a story on their main page today talking about a hacking of peoples details at Harrods, yesterday was an organisation releasing details of children at a day care place, with more threatened to follow if a ransom is not paid to return data or allow access by the company that lost the data in the first place. How easy would it be for hackers to obtain all your info, including your prescriptions, than that info could be used to blackmail you or sent to those who are opposed to people using MC, employers, landlords and the like.
The digital ID also has the ability to be linked to your bank account, how about if they start stopping you paying for your MC, or if they decide you can not spend your money after you have tweeted naughty words at someone. The implications of this are wide and far reaching and will do nothing to prevent the issues that it is being mooted as being able to reign in.
As someone who has seen the inside of the beast via two different uniforms, I urge everyone to fight this or it will affect you in an adverse way some way down the line. Not that I have any faith in petitions against government via their own portal for petitions, but the one running to try and stop the digital ID plan is rising fast and if it gets big enough the media will have to report on it and it will generate a discussion in households that needs to be had. This is the bit at the top of the water slide, and once you go over it you have no way of stopping it until you hit the bottom.
