Canada Most cannabis is around 18-24% THC, according to one lab’s results

As a rule of thumb I typically remove 10% given there's a +/- swing on it anyway, I just assume they'd make it up for marketing reasons like I do in my job.

I'm not quite sure this article would apply to us though, the North American standards for accuracy are very low. They get to market drinks as sugar free if they've got less than 20g of sugar for example. I'm not sure specifically on cannabis but I'm willing to bet there's no regulation on stated THC%.

Whereas in the UK we have to deal with the EP regulations. If these regulations are ignored I believe that falls under pharmaceutical non compliance which eventually leads to losing their EU-GMP certification. No brand is putting their trading status on the line for a extra 2% imo. at least not in Europe.

This points out that there is different tests for different labs and fudging numbers , I think it happens all over and. The 10% swing i think is inflating numbers to keep on shelf longer compared to a 17% and incentivised to go for higher THC for longer shelf 3.6% THC donkey butter v 1.7% THC alien koffee. This was touched upon in an interview with 4C Labs i posted here about incentive to go higher to stay on shelf longer due to swing. Donkey butter was not 1 of the strongest strains on the planet lol 36er no way!

28:15 he starts to touch on why its easier to come in with a higher THC compared to lower alot easier and might see a rise in THC % due to this. I think there could be incentive to fudge numbers going by n american lab results apart from 1 above. Listen to what he says about thcv strain and now we realise why we mainly get high THC meds. 36 % no waaaaaaaaay!!

That's a bold claim stating that independent labs are colluding and risking their licenses to help a few low level cannabis brands. It would be career suicide.

They have to submit a packaging % to which every batch is tested against and if it's more than 10% either way it doesn't get approved and gets recalled. How does the shelf life position change that?

I'm not calling you wrong btw, just trying to understand your position.

I'm an Occam's Razor kinda thinker, I think its more likely they DB came in 10% less than the stated 36% on the packaging which would be reasonable to come in at 32.4%.

Its rife in canna industry abso rife and ppl know it. Now i am not directly accusing i just dont think they told the truth about donkey butter and thats my view now looking into why well i have just showed you why would they. Now if so very accurate then why would they make it 36% when its 32.4? Did they lie , does it need recalibrated , You think thats ok , but i agree its more than likely thats but either it supports what i say wrong info on package = lies or mistake . Uk med market is strict after all.

Because they're allowed too, if your product is allowed a 10% swing then you're always going to state its 10% higher than your actual tested results because the naive thing THC numbers matter in a good product.

I don't doubt there's tomfoolery around, I just struggle to see how they'd make it work with EP regulations. Not because I'm an expert but because of precisely the opposite.

I definitely agree that we get lied to a lot, I actually think the biggest lie out there is non-irradiated acting like its quality organic flower.

Defo they have come in 10% higher , its 1 of the highest i have seen on the planet lol . Intro % are not the true reading. It should be 32.4 n 10% swing from there. I still have doubts but big difference over 30%. Non irradiated but remediated.
