I'm still fully setting up the forums and part of that is the automated ranks given to members based on their post count. In the future we may limit some newer accounts permissions until more established on the forum - for example disallowing messaging other members until the account is older than a week, or has 10+ posts or whatever else.

The fun part of all this is deciding on a rank ladder and what the titles should be, so far we just have the following as a placeholder:
  • New Member - default
  • Member - 5+ posts
  • Senior Member - 25+ posts
We probably should build the system so the top rank requires at least 1,000+ posts, and probably have 5+ ranks overall.

Feel free to chime in with suggestions.

Something generic for ranks. Cos only things that come to mind would be cheesy and/or risk being seen to glorify things the media would scream about with great illiteracy. Esp cos bud in the name makes me think of growing.
