Hi not new to the flower, as I use it daily.
First consultation today went well but I’ve been prescribed oil 12.5/12.5 and that’s it for month, and yes, the clinic is offering there oil product only when I would have wanted to been offered the flowers from the pharmacy if my choice, is there anything I could before I purchase the oil prescribed, would be great to hear from someone please thank you.

You have absolutely the right to choose your medication and its form - give them a call so they can help.
As a new patient they should be finding out what works for you and if you want flower you should get it, def report back if any issues mate. (y)

Good Morning and welcome @KnightRider4 and as @node says they should be finding out what works for you and taking it from there and as you already know flower works and is a safe bet where as this new treatment could lead to a couple of months frustration paying for products you did not want before they get round to offering you flower which you know works .

I would absolutely get in touch soon as (before paying) and let them know how you feel about this and you need flower as it works ,oil is an unknown to you at this point so you would feel more reassured with what you know has effect .

You also have options of other clinics that would cater for your needs as you have already qualified for Medical Cannabis but not an ideal start for you but give them a chance to sort it out once you've made it clear and if you are still not satisfied let us know and we'll see how we can help. (y)
 
Sounds ostensibly like they are going straight to the biggest money maker for them and hoping you don't complain.

As the others folks said, if you're used to flower, and want flower, then there's no patient-health-outcome based reason I can think of why they wouldn't be offering flower

Could be - but every chunk of research I do I have to run it thru (talking shop now lol) the near perfect sanity check - "never arrive at conspiracy until you've taken a good hard look at incompetence first"

But def worth tracking this - do u want me to make a Lumir® clinic page @GrownHealth or do u want to do it?

I think that's a reasonable approach.

I abandoned reason long ago when I realised that there's no reasoning with money :P

Thank you mate. Seems to me we have to keep a closer eye with "supplier-clinics" So obv Curaleaf as well, treat-it (therismos / tilray), none of which are performing well...and incuraleaf also on the overcharging shit list.
 
Welcome aboard, as everyone has said, explain your situation, existing tolerance etc and request something that is going to work. If they try and bill you for oil anyway just don't pay the script, you are not obliged to if it is not fit for your use. If they are hellbent, switch clinics.
 
Thanks to all of you guys, I have since called the office and they understand my point of view, they are going to see what they can do about it, I called around half 3 this afternoon so I will chafe back an answer tomorrow sometime during the day and hopefully it will be sorted out, by the way Lumir® Clinic staff is absolutely amazing but will keep you up with what is happening next

Great to hear they listened to you and were helpful and frankly there are some amazing staff in clinics who are really helpful you'll find and just glad they have took your input into consideration as it can be expensive buying products you don't know the effects of.

They called me this morning to let me know that they spoke about my situation and are really sorry.
They told me it’s a misunderstood and I’m absolutely entitled to flowers,
They told me I do not need to purchase the prescribed oil and that I could of course choice my pharmacy etc…
The lady was adorable and was feeling very sorry for me, she advised me that the best way would probably be to book my “follow up appointment”asap so I could discuss the medication but was feeling bad for me.
She was thinking how to get through this for me without having to repay so she asked me to give her five minute so she could discuss about it with her onsite colleagues, she called me back within five minutes letting me know that she as booked a free consultation with the doctor back on Monday and told me this time to get to the point and not hesitate, amazing staff, will keep you posted Monday after my consultation.

Brilliant mate as it looks like between you you have turned a negative into a positive and the feel good factor that you should have you will have and respect to your clinic for helping correct this to your satisfaction and their remarks about getting to the point and not hesitating is easier said than done lol but is the best policy as it's the way you'll get what you feel will work best to try.

Bet you can't wait now and cheers for this as others will read and have the confidence to be more direct about there needs on appointments preventing this happening in future as often. 💚
 
Most clinic staff are some of the nicest people you could meet.i was honest with my doctor about past usage and they thanked me for being honest as it made there job easier for them to prescribe the right amount of flower that I needed

Evening guys, had my ““re”appointment” I asked him for flowers straight away he agreed and choice 3 strains of 10g for a month but to be honest there is only one interesting me in there.
At least I’m half there, will try to call the pharmacy tomorrow to see if it possible to break to script and only by one or two of those items and for the rest I would have to go back on BM really
