Keeping on the subject of outdoor growing. Is there anyway to find out if product is outdoor,Hybrid or indoor without digging deep . Just like dispensary has. Since we know price reflection is not quality related would cheaper intro price reflect outdoor , WE need to push for labelling regarding if indoor or not , remediated or not and COA , everything else is just profit and business.

Ahhh right, sometimes you can find out if you dig deep enough where the product was grown on that particular strain, some companies let you know its been grown indoors or out.

3 different grow styles , Hybrid meaning light dep and all should be a reflection on price and labled like irradiation , as then patients cant get ripped off on cheap outdoor , maybe it is relected in price ie £3.85 strains but should be labled imo. The seeds i have collected from realseedcompany are very well suited to outdoor , long latitude info with them , i do think these types better for ghouse and outdoor style where the runty og fem types do well in sterile hydro enviro but these landraces are hard to tame and dial in in an indoor facility and if i owned indoor then i wouldnt be going near them.

Sometimes ye get that info if ye dig but why not label it as its important info i think anyway. The sun produces amazing meds but cheaper and alot gamma cos of outdoor microbes.

I think that Muiredach mentioned the new Together pharmacy Glueberry OG (Cheap) was grown outdoor in Uganda. Stating non-irradiated too?
Gonna take the plunge if it is still there in a week or so.

Together Pharma is the only cultivator of medical cannabis in Uganda. Its Ugandan farm extends over some approx. 30,000 sqm Greenhouses and has a full production capacity of more than 15 tonnes annually, including a range of innovative cultivars which will be introduced into the UK's medical cannabis market over the next few months.

Greenhouse is reason non irradiated rather than outdoor so hopefully you get a good product with no remediation which i really do think needs labled.

Yes it would be good to have a bit more info whether it was grown indoors or out, it is definitely a lot cheaper to grow outdoors with natural light and can be more potent but then as you say, it then has to be irradiated. One thing I've never noticed is whether its an auto or not too. Autos can be grown indoor and out and I would imagine Autos would be grown in a greenhouse as they only grow to a certain height.

All afaik are grown from plant Mothers and tissue culture. They are clones of one pheno which means the product should not vary too much in one grow all other things being equal. These may be bought from other growers and breeders. Most avoid seeds completely, a few outdoor facilities in Africa may use however.

iirc cutting propagated cannabis does not work well from auto varieties. Nearly all commercial grows use methods of training plants inc SCROG SOG etc that means plant height is controlled.

I thinks most facilities would be cloning or tissue culture nowadays but to be honest it wouldnt surprise me if they were running autos but seedruns autos or not comes with its own probs like diff phenos and heights feeding regimes. Clones tried and tested for hlvd as seeds can have a % with hlvd come through.
Sadly triploids will be the new new for commercial but dunno if hlvd comes through or will be cleaned up better but it defo wouldnt surprise me if auto growing lol

Would you consider a line lost if you were left with just seeds and the mother dies?
A lot of the top growers do if they cant get cuttings/clones. The seeds are always viewed secondary.
Strange though as a lot of the "legendary" lines started when Barry bobbins found an old seed from back in the day (MAC 1) (Cindy99) etcetc
Just curious on lineages and my knowledge is very much incomplete.

When I have watched very experienced growers do proper grows of old pheno they have used up to 50 old seeds of the same pheno and then go through the breeding process from there. Im sorry this is well off topic and will save further questions for a more appropriate thread.

I read years ago its to do with taproot but no one cloning autos but in the med market it wouldnt surprise if found out some were doin seedruns but no serious facilty would touch them
