Pharmacies Previous addiction to Heroin and Cocaine, can I be prescribed for depression and anxiety, and nerve damage?

Hi All,

I have suffered with depression and anxiety for well over a decade and I got never damage down my right arm and hand after a motorbike accident and I use Cannabis to self medicate rather than all the synthetic shit that has been thrown at me for years that never worked, whereas Cannabis has.
Cannabis helped with the depression and anxiety and is also what I used to beat my addiction to Heroin and Cocaine.
I have just applied to Medicann for medicinal cannabis but I am worried I will be refused due to my medical history or the parts of it that I have mentioned above, so could anyone tell m3 am I wasting my time applying for it?
If I am I'll just keep going to my dealer because cannabis is the cure for my afflictions personally?

You should be fine. I have had previous issues with Coke and it never even got mentioned.

As long as you qualify for all the usual questions asked in screening and you can evidence that then it shouldn't really matter to much.

Medicann leave you to your own devices and are limitless in how you order your medication. So if they had concerns around any of that and reject you, I do think you would still have success at other clinics like Alternaleaf, CB1 Medical, etc. where they impose monthly limits. I don't think you'll have any issues regardless. It's not uncommon for patients to try alternative treatments in their life to treat their various issues. other drugs are part of that for some people.

Yes, should not be an issue. I know of patients being prescribed cannabis whilst on OST. What I would say is that any mental health assessor is not going to want to hear that Cannabis is your 'only' strategy for coping. For your assessment think about what else you do to keep yourself well and how cannabis fits in. Hope this helps.

Don't worry on my medical notes I had addiction to heroin, cocaine and cannabis and this was never mentioned in my onboarding process. You will be fine. Welcome

Dont be worried lad i am with cure releaf had my first flower last month i am still in treatment for heroin i am on subvertext and gabby matrazipine ect .I have bedn clean of tbe dark for 10 years but are have allways been on a small dose od subbys tryed rehab twice i will try again but not ready .anyways I got it and I was worried so go for it it defo helps miles better then the black market and cheaper.
