Why is there no governing body in place for pricing? These clinics can charge what they like look at Dispenced they charge more for the medication to cover the cost of consultations this is not right .

Well, this is private healthcare i guess which means everyone can charge and do pretty much what they please, this is why many of us move clinics after a while finding a better one for what is stocked and pricing. There is a quality control in place, but no price control, MedBud lists what the price should be via wholesale but not all clinics adhere to it or move on price changes quickly.
Dispensed appear to operate similar to releaf giving the patient no say on what bud at what price, i left releaf after 2 weeks when i found this place and discovered they charged me 8.50 per g for bud that was 6.50 everywhere else.

I don't blame you I'm currently with Curaleaf, it just doesn't sit right with me that they can potentially rip people of for being ill and needing medication surly we all as medical cannabis patients try and do something about this as it it wrong.

I know what you are saying but it shouldn't be like that people Exploiting the ill and vulnerable ie:- us medical patients We are not asking for our medication to be free. We just want it at a fair price, I personally don't think that it's too much to ask.

This is it. Private medicine in a western free market capitalist nation is private medicine in a western free market capitalist nation.
You can't complain about private companies setting their own prices, but you can vote with your feet. You can complain about companies operating in sympatico in order to suppress competition, or producing inadequate medical products, etc, however.
We're very much not used to it in the UK, so seeing something like unfair medical pricing from a healthcare facility and immediately jumping to ethical outrage and recanting the Hippocratic Oath is a fairly common reaction... but it doesn't really work outside the NHS.
It would be nice if there was an option on the NHS, but to be perfectly honest a shudder runs through the whole of my spine when I try to imagine what an NHS-based medical cannabis system would look like.
But don't expect to find a unicorn clinic that's cheap AND has great service.
If we all jump ship to the cheapest provider, you can begin to expect to be treated as a barcode rather than a human patient. Sometimes with the unfair prices you're paying for something you don't even realise you're paying for until suddenly it's gone and now you'd gladly pay a little more to have it back lol. Like more than 3 minutes with an interested and informed consultation, or decent customer service, or having more freedom of choice etc.
I read a post of FB yesterday, a guy had asked for his prescription to me moved from Montu to IPS during his clinic appointment. The next day he received a call from montu asking him why he wanted his prescription to be moved to IPS. He explained that the Peace Naturals® T27 wedding cake is much cheaper on IPS, Montu had recently reduced the price from £8.50g -£7.90g (see photo) but IPS price was £4.95g. Montu then asked if they matched the price of IPS would he stay with montu and he agreed!
I wondered how long he’d been paying £3.55g above RRP for his medication and what clinic he used.
I’m new to MC but have studied its growth over the years. I had issues with joining a clinic because of the fees and reviews of inconsistent quality of the products. I recently joined Medicann, because it was free and I was curious to see if there was a catch. I was worried that they would have inflated prices to offset their free service but they don’t.
I’ve learned a lot through studying this website.
I wonder if montu price matched all of IPS products or just the wedding cake.

This is good news that they matched the price to save the person extra hassle but it is only a temporary price drop with IPS as the pot I just received is near expiry (07/09/25) so not a permanent drop in price but at least others will feel emboldened to ask the same of Montu in the future with other products too
