Hi all

Has anyone got advice on how to get the medical records needed. I am signing up with Medicann and there is no information or help. Do I just go to my GP and ask for all records to do with my condition?

Hey Piggle, you can contact your GP and request your medical records and send them yourself but it can be a faff. Most clinics will be able to access them as long as you have checked the box allowing them to. You don't necessarily need your full records but your medication history. I'm also waiting for them to contact me and missing a call yesterday frustratingly - I've sent two emails and still nothing.. There will a sudden influx at the moment so I was kind of expecting a delay..

Assuming you're based in England.

You need your summary of care, most GPs can send this to you but it is practice dependent on how much of a faff they make it.

From there, you can send screenshots from the NHS app of any supporting evidence for medications, treatments or conditions. You may need to request full access of this if yours doesn't contain much info.

That is usually enough, if it isn't the clinic will request it and you can go from there.
