I’m prescribed 50g, and anytime I’ve asked for an increase prior to this I’ve always just felt a bit weird. Is that normal? Stigma/shame?
I’m prescribed initially for ADHD, and secondary for osteoarthritis. This has really stepped up a notch this past few months and the weathers really increasing my daily pain.

Then add in the times I’ve bought strains that don’t do much for me and it’s easy to feel panicky about not having any meds. I really don’t want to ever use opiates again, and they’ve been taken off of my repeats which I’m so proud of. I’m also weaning off of my ppi medication which I’ve never been able to do due to the pain relief meds and also just they get horrendously hard to stop with bad symptoms, the flower stops those 🙏🏻🥰

My GP has said she’s happy to write a supporting letter to the clinic if they write to them. They haven’t done that yet so it feels a bit weird… I haven’t been a patient in the winter before and I’m finding I’m using much more for pain than I was in summer. Is that others experience?

I’m not sure if I’m just over thinking all this, and then I start to feel like it’s stuff everyone else knows and I don’t 😂
it’s with Kasim Hussain who’s the pharmacist. Any input from more experienced patients is welcome please x

There is no shame in needing 60g a month if it stops the pain
You should be able to do this at your next clinic doctors appointment by explaining you have stopped taking opiates and you are struggling with your arthritis and need more medication

I would of thought 60grams in your situation would be quite normal 🤷‍♂️ especially as you say it'll be beneficial ,the extra, also conditions/needs fluctuate .
I know what you mean about asking for an increase but I reckon that's inbuilt within us, where as the doctor's really want you to get the right dose and I'd imagine be quite receptive .It's not like your trying to blag a sick note , its meds and if you need them ,you need them.

I’m prescribed initially for ADHD
Maybe impossible to determine, but do you have a feel for how much was for ADHD before you upped for pain?

I keep wondering if I medicate enough, YMMV, how's long is a piece of string, etc. but still curious...

I am not in the MH pathway with my clinic, so it's all inflammation talk, but probably I have a version of ADHD going on.
