YouTube Smacksalad causes an incident at Gatwick!

I replied to the video on YouTube but I’ll ask the same question here… what is the legally correct way to dispose of unwanted / expired schedule 2 controlled drugs and is it ok to put them into any bin we feel like, even in a high security area like an airport?

How did they know the ABV had been thrown in the bin?
I thought it was unused bud that he had ground up in preparation for vaping on the plane? If it’s AVB then it’s a consumed med and no one else’s’ business. If it’s bud he has thrown away (however small) is that legal or illegal ?

Did he ask at the check in counter if he could vape in the plane or did he make the request up front? Why did he declare the meds?

I’ve travelled to Portugal with my meds and put everything in one bag inside my carry on (prescriptions/letters /20+g) . They opened it and had a good look, even inspected the bud (probably checking trichome heads lol). Handed it all back to me with the question is this your bag? Yes it is and I was on my way.

I have a long haul flight scheduled and I’ve already had approval from the airline and awaiting immigration to confirm (Australia). I won’t even ask to vape on the plane, just seems nuts. I’ll have some edibles for my prescription that month so I can stay medicated whilst I’m in transit.

Knowing Smacksalad he probably told them😂
It seems to me that he just likes to kick up a fuss and waste peoples time.
I have been abroad with meds, going out fine but coming back I was asked for paperwork and was also fine.
If you have to medicate just do it outside before you go in, why cause a scene and when they have done their job you don't have to say that they are doing the walk of shame!!
