🌞 What Are You Consuming Today?

@Lank72 thanks for sharing the recipe. What is your estimated dosage per piece of cake?

I’ll have 25g of AVB by this weekend and don’t want to blast myself into outer space as I’ve never had an edible before and am a bit nervous. At the moment I have estimated the AVB will be about 50% of the original THC to be on the safe side, so 150mg per gram. If I make 50 cakes that would be about 75mg per cake.. too much/too little? Whats the danger level? I’ve had a good intro to medical, stumbled upon some effective strains so don’t want to put this at risk. As an alternative are their any recipes for making some topical pain relief cream instead?

Impossible for me to say what's left in the ABV, the problem I have is that my ABV can be made up of anywhere up to 15 different strains, and each strain I will vape at a different temp. Then factor in I will use flower and vapes to some extend alongside (although I stop the oil doses if I have edibles)

So all I can say is it'll be about 5g / 32 pieces = 0.16g per piece of chocolate, which is equivalent to a mighty bullet of fresh flower

It's good because my ABV is such a smorgasbord it gives well rounded body and mind effects, and I use balanced flower too so some CBD will be there in the mix

Best thing is to follow the mantra of 'start low, go slow'

I hope sharing this info on my approach will give people at least some sort of reasonable starting point so they don't get into a pickle but my absolute caveat is that if you have questions/concerns on dosing then speak to your prescribing doctor

I’m going to take the safe route (for me) and look into making a topical ointment as I’m getting the medical relief I need from vaping.

The only justification for making edibles for me is to get completely baked which is not what I want.

Does anyone have any simple recipes for making an ointment? Idiots guide preferred 🙏

I don't get baked on edibles or oil. Edibles/oil for me, are an evening treat for relaxation and better sleep. Being sensible is the key. You can make creams/ointments and i would suggest looking online for some good recipes to make it. Look on YouTube or Google it, always double check on anything you come across.

Here's the breakdown of my work drama thus far fam. 👊🏾

My company that I recently joined had an allegation made against me that I smelled of bud. It’s never happened to me before, so it took me by surprise.

I apologised and explained that my coat may have been in the vicinity of other family members who consume cannabis for sacramental purposes.

Line manager wrote it up, gave me a slap on the wrist, asked me to leave the workplace, and “mitigate for future.”

However, I came back into work some days later and was flagged again by another member of staff, who alleged that both herself and her colleague could smell weed on me.

Now, at this point, I literally went through Mission Impossible levels to keep clothes, hair, and body away from any cannabis for over 16 hours. Bathed, wore new fresh clothes the whole works just to avoid the embarrassment of being stopped.

I explained that there was no way they could smell anything on me, but they continued to insist they could. At this point, I was a bit pissed, but I had to self-regulate the f out of myself not to seem angry.

She said I needed to fix this situation ASAP and that she’d contact HR to explain what was going on.

HR got in touch a few days later, asking if I self-medicate. I explained that I don’t self-medicate and utilise alternative medical treatments.

I had to disclose the whole nine then complete a risk assessment covering everything from the effects of cannabis to my dosage — and give detailed explanations about how this would impact my day-to-day runnings.

Guys, I just couldn’t go through with the invasiveness of it all, so I quit.

Luckily for me, I went for an interview Friday and got offered the job today. So, F am I going through risk assessments to f myself when something goes wrong at work and their insurance wants to f me.

Anyway, I said my piece, handed in my notice, and kept it moving.

Got a better gig almost instantly and I don’t have to deal with HR breathing down my neck.

Sometimes the universe does its thing one door closes, the next one opens with better air freshener. 🌬️ 🙏🏾

Sounds like you have been hounded out of the place my friend and I wish that hadn't have happened to you.

But, if you are happy with the outcome overall that's all that matters really - maybe a few problems or future ones got solved in one go.

Hope you are looking after yourself, all the best with the new one

Yeah same, I'm not looking to get incapacitated, I know thats the tradition almost with edibles, but that's not how I'm going about it.

More than anything trying to save money 💵💵💵

That's a great result under the circumstances but you shouldn't have had to go through that. I'd consider suing them for constructive dismissal.
I don't see MC as alternative medicine, it is medicine just not approved by NICE or the NHS and there is a long list of things in that category. Many, just because of cost efficiency not clinical efficacy.

Didn't even know constructive dismissal was a thing. Maybe I should look into it. Traumatic man, so embarrassing having to disclose private info to HR

Sorry to hear about how you were treated by your previous company. I was a shop Steward and remember well about cases like this in work. Lucky for the lads who used Cannabis on breaks it was nothing to do with the company as it was in their own time and didn't effect their work.
I then had to pursue complaints by employees about Management coming into work after drinking the night before, 1 manager I found was drinking 2 bottles of wine a night and driving into work next day. Most Management drank.

drinking is a thing at work but I don't snitch if I know you are handling your job and it's not impacting me or anyone else.
