Have you tried any Cartridges out mate, they are supposed to be good if the flower isn't doing it for you👍

ffs bro. Let's warm up the vibes a bit, yeah. Medical has its perks and so does BM. If I was you, I'd go a link my BM doctor and done. Your whole attitude toward every bud on medical is negative asf. You know this. Nobody here wants to hear loads of moaning about medical flower because we all chose this route. Yes, a little whine here and there is cool, we all do it, but in no way is all the medical bud dead bro. That's a super hyperbole and unnecessary information for new medical users. I'm not gonna have a big tit or tat or essay responses, I'm saying you need to chill the f out, and go back to BM.

Because I have tried 30+ strains that did fuck all for me and I medicate for Chronic Pain and not to get high. IDGAF what you like and dont like I just point out that the bud I have tried was dead and effectless for me and my needs. Its again your opinion against mine and I'm cool with that . I've been around the block a long time and I know my shit well so please do yourself a favour and just crack on and chill the f out yourself if you need to lol Have a great day as well!

Got to say at this point your drawing a lot of flak and I'm starting to doubt whether the way you interact with people is in the manner we expect here in the forum as information plays a long second fiddle to how we interact with each other in the forum as it's for discussion and support and being a friendly place first and foremost and this superseeds any opinions on flower and posters shouldn't be left feeling down or anxious after reading posts that's for other forums!

Seriously we try to be friendly and supportive here but we wont tolerate members constantly being dragged into conversations that turn sour/nasty and there is enough stress around this time of year without people coming here for friendly chat and leaving feeling worse then when they came.

Sure thats perfectly understandable and not my intentions at all. I dont need lecturing when all I did was shared my opinion and experience. But like I said if you think this was an overkill please go ahead and ban me.

Hello everyone,

If it's okay, I'd like to gently add a perspective to this discussion. While I'm new to the UK's medical cannabis (MC) system and hopefully will have my first prescription next week. I come with several decades of personal experience with cannabis.

Lately, I've been reading extensively here and taking in all the valuable information. A couple of things have stood out to me, primarily concerning the quality of flower available. I hope it's alright to share some thoughts and concerns I've developed.

The topic of irradiation (gamma and beta) is a major point of confusion for me. Coming from a background where this wasn't a consideration, the very concept that flower must be irradiated to meet safety standards is surprising. It does lead me to worry about what necessitates such a step. Is the starting material potentially so compromised? This seems like a significant deviation from what many would consider ideal cultivation and processing.

Furthermore, I've seen numerous posts and videos where patients receive medication that is overly dry and lacking in aroma, requiring days of rehydration with humidity packs to become usable. This makes me wonder about the underlying quality and freshness being provided.

I suppose my core question is: Should we, as patients, accept this as the normal standard? To draw a loose analogy, if you received a subpar meal at a restaurant, you might send it back rather than invest significant effort at home to make it palatable. While I understand medical cannabis is a different and highly regulated field, the principle of expecting a quality, "fit-for-purpose" product from the outset feels important.

I fully acknowledge the legal framework is new and that many patients are grateful for any legal access. I also know there are good producers out there. For me personally, based on my research, I will be avoiding irradiated products and seeking out the highest quality flower I can. It just seems vital for the long-term credibility of MC that patients don't feel compelled to accept or normalise what might be considered sub-standard in other contexts.

I don't mean any disrespect to those who use and benefit from the currently available options. We all have different needs and thresholds. I'm sharing this because I believe that collective patient awareness and discernment can help drive the market toward better quality for everyone.

I'm genuinely curious to hear others' thoughts on this, especially from long-term patients. Thank you for reading.

In my experience, I was exactly the same about irradiated flower when I came to Medical, you will see my comment about how I wasn't going to touch it 😅😅 how wrong I was about it! I said i'd only use non irradiated. Honestly mate, you don't see or taste it, you wouldn't know it was irritated. There is some flower that doesn't like being irradiated or you can get flower that is over irradiated for sure, but it is very rare.
I would jump in yourself, pick a few strains you think you'll like and within budget, or just order i item or 2 at a time to see how you go. You'll be surprised mate for sure, in a positive way 👍

I'm still on the OB for today, I might finnish off the PD later tonight.
I've just ordered a Sourdough Cartridge and hopefully will get on with it for evenings mainly.
I'm going to order more flower just to help see me well through into the new year but will wait before I throw that one in.

I was feeling energised this morning having woken up pain free. As the sun was shining I started today with some Qwest Morning Sun which gave me a bit more energy and then calm chill out time. Spending the rest of the day & evening consuming a salad of 6 strains. Peace Naturals® ASG, GMO, SC, Qwest MSN, some eastcann strawberry pave and green joy banana gas. I’ve tried 9 medical, 3 didn’t work well enough (cura lavender cake, Safricanna purple punch and jack H) the current 6 all do a good job, medical pain relief, quality of life, happy patient.

@Dooby Doo in your experience is there much difference between beta and gamma in the final product? I’ve preferred beta but I haven’t tried enough flowers
