I am physically and mentally broken, call with my manager shortly to basically see if they fancy whittling my workload down significantly to avoid me going off sick

Sounds a bit like blackmail when I read it back but it more trying to be decent with them since they are always decent with me

That Limonene is vicious! I used to do alpha and beta testing for a major nic vape manufacturer ( I dont vape nic now, this was years ago) when mods and tanks were everywhere.

One unusual design tank and coil combo had leaking problems for me after a week or so. All was checked at factory, they couldn't recreate the issue. Finally another tester worked out that very lemony vape juices were softening and shrinking a silicon seal.

Turns out they needed to upgrade the silicon to a harder less porous type as the Limonene was melting it! Discovered that from a high pressure seal manufacturer who specialised in food industry, that terp wreaked havoc on o-rings. Mind your tonsils!

Scaling things back a lot for a while so I can still work but basically contribute as I am able on a given day. I don't want to let anyone down by being off for weeks if there's a way it can just be less pressure and less structured. Legend. I actually had a little cry on the call as I was overwhelmed by how supportive they are.

The Runtz Muffin really helped me even have this call, highly recommend for a low THC daytime (after you read my comments on the strain thread about rehydrating)

I am probably going to have something stronger now, maybe rainbow sherbet since it is now £4.95/g and a cheaper replacement when it's gone

Can totally relate to that mate I did a little over 10 years at Associated British Foods Patak's where all things curry sauces & pastes are manufactured for their own brand and the big supermarket chains like Asda, Tesco, Sainsburys, we've had multiple O-Ring failiures over the years through citric + malic acid found within the mangoes and lemons used in the sauces, obviously combined with thermal degradation and use of high percentage sodium hydroxide, but we recycled all our plastics tubs that the fruits came in and they would corrode certain elements of the compactor and various bits of other hygiene equipment, literally leaving paint peeling and metal rusting

You are being sensible in scaling things back but not just throwing in the towel. Good on ya.
There is a happy medium in between being stoic and battling through, and going off to maybe return again.
Does your work have an Employee Assistance Program? I know that you had BUPA coverage so that is a big positive.

Haha yes EAP is bullshit. Its just an unfortunate hoop you have to jump through.
You have done everything by the book as far as internal HR policy goes.
