Gutted. Feel ripped off. Late to the party.
This is a huge blow for me, total disaster this one. If you look at my reviews I am generally positive and been lucky so far with good weed on medicals. Had some bad flower in the past, of course, but not at this price range.
Flower is muted. Proper hay stuff. Too dry.
I thought , few days in the jar might help. Wait a minute! This comes in a glass jar so yeah, no space for improvement at all.
Tasteless. Nothing shines, nothing at all.
Effects are there but not strong.
Overall this weed is old, muted, tasteless with minimal effects.
I have spent a lot of money on this and regretting this move. Thought to treat myself with something special for the occasion but.. silly and disappointing game this medical is. Was going in with excitement as its a cross of two legends.
Was expecting that hash, citrus, skunky mouth coating , put me on my ass effects but nothing comes close.
It does look good dont get me wrong, but thats where the positives end. Look but don’t touch lol .
Dont bother people, dont waste your hard earned cash. There are way better choices for £65, £70 or £80.
Stay medicated. Peace .

Cake city v1 was one best i tried on medical with such an interesting unusal terp and im gutted to see it come back like this

I was hoping for some fire myself. I realised review videos are 6 months old, perhpas flower is too old npw, even in that vacuumed jar she aged.
I had gelatti pie on xmass and she was delightful. Such an unusual terp palette, was impressed.

I find reading that bad report on Cake City a little weird not because i do not believe it but because i did the same thing and thought i would treat myself to see what all the fuss was about after reading all of the older reviews and I found it to be absolutely top quality.
Firstly i need to say something here. I am still fairly new to MC here in the UK but i am a quick study.
All of the UK's MC is stored in ways we do not know and understand, well 90% of it from what i can tell. When you get a new batch you cannot just start using it right away because after a day or two in a jar with some added moisture they completely change!
When i opened and examined the Cake City i noticed as usual how dry it was, most of them are. So i put it in a fresh glass jar with a slice of organic lettuce for moisture. A few hours later i took the slice of lettuce out and left the jar open for a while. Then sealed it and forgot about it until the next day.
When i opened the jar i was presented with one of the most incredible aromas i have had from cannabis flower. Absolutely beautiful smell. On touching the buds they had now become softer to the touch and had a little spring when squeezed.
I must say here that I am not someone who really likes the idea of those humidity packs everyone talks about. For me they are a gimmick and serve no real purpose because its easy to get moisture into overly dry buds and visa versa. Again i do not think these buds will stay overly dry for long if you know how to treat them because they will simply pull moisture out of the atmosphere to equalise through osmosis or whatever the correct terminology is.
Another point worth noting regarding reports of smell, for me is this. I stopped smoking years ago and only vape MC. Once i stopped after about 6 months my sense of smell was incredible. I would not trust a smell report from people who smoke and also we all know how subjective the entire smell situation is from person to person and we have no idea how good or bad another persons sense of smell is compared to yours or others. These are just my thoughts on the matter purely based on how impressed i was with Cake City in terms of smell.
Effects are good but price is another matter all together. Is it worth the £100 for 10 grams, absolutely not. Its a joke what these companies are charging and it will end soon enough, there is great quality out there to be had for half the price, but this was grown with care and love and that is what makes it special for me along with the pedigree of the genetics involved.
Just had to throw this out there after reading the unfortunate experience of another member here. Maybe different clinics store their MC in different ways and some have a much more drastic effect on the condition it arrives in? I just do not know, but i doubt very much they really care, all these clinics are making millions every single month and the game is secure for them for now. I may be totally wrong but that's how it feels to me.

Apologies for hijacking the thread because of the sense of smell issue raised by @SkintEastwood. Sometimes I have excellent smell and sometimes it disappears.
