This is just my 2 own experience, but for me, even strong oils do not really work. They just don't really do their thing, I consume like 100mg at once (way above my flower intake) and barely a whisper. For some other people, they're the best they ever had. So go and have a test run for sure. But if it wouldn't work and you don't want to vape due to lung pain, you can still cook and eat your flower. In my experience, even the non-body focused strains have a greater bodily effect when eaten, and it lasts longer, so your usual flower might feel MUCH heavier when cooked and eaten.
I suggest giving that a go especially if you have flower lying around.
Either make cannabutter and cook with it, there are many recipes.
But for me, it's chocolate, this is a
3day worth of recipe for me: 60g 80% dark choc, 22g butter, and 2.5g flower. You can go to 3g or 3.5g if you need a heavier hitter.
First, decarb the bud: put it in a foil covered container into the oven for 28-29 minutes, on 120 degrees. It will stink and will get brownish. But it's legal lol!
Then (or during the decarb) melt the choc and butter together to a liquid state, easy to stir.
Mix and pour bud and the liquid buttery choc into a choc template. Then it goes in the fridge, eat it over 3 days. Sometimes it hits slow, in 1-2 hours. If you eat 1/6th of the full 3day choc, DON'T EAT ANY MORE, wait for it, it will come. If you eat some, eat something fatty after, helps to activate it faster and gives better liver-based absorption.
THAT'S IT. Hope I could help
