Thought this is pretty appropriate for understanding cannabis types.

I find the nearer a strain is to landrace genetics the more medicinal it'll be .
More equatorial strains will be Sativa and by nature are tall lanky plants and good for focus and motivation.
The other side of the spectrum is Indica which will grow smaller but chunkier ,be more sedating and relaxing by nature.
Most strains available to us are a balance between these two.
Ruderalis is the other type of cannabis that has no medicinal benefits except for it can add an autoflowering aspect to genetics meaning they'll flower in any light cycle, Companies will use this to speed up production but it seems this is just a commercial cost cutting thing and probably be to the detriment of the finished product.

Another interesting one ,

The East Coast Sour Diesel you see in this vid. Looks exactly the same phenotype that used to circulate round these parts, absolutely stunning plant , Just seeing the sight of it again after say 12 or 14 years has got me feeling good. Like I can smell and taste it now. The purpling of the top leaves and long internodal spacing . Didn't think this still existed, Beautiful strain.

P.S. What's more therapeutic than being able to grow and consume a plant of such goodness.

White Widow , another firm favourite for lots for daytime medication, it's a Hybrid of two landraces.
In the late 90's early 2000's you'd often see Dutch people in coffeeshops having a bowl of White Widow in the morning before work ,glistening like crystal.
Here's the coffeeshop that sprung to mind in beautiful Maastricht. Next door to smokeys.

Probably a year's med for someone . Also so open in the garden and nobody bothers bout it .
That Normalization right there.
Yeah! If that bush was anywhere near a road like that in the UK, the road would be closed off the area swamped with police, officers cuffing and hooding the bush, helicopters above… 😂

You'd be amazed what lurks in the UK woodlands, motorway embankments.
