The General Life Chat Thread

Chaos outside my house this morning , police everywhere after a neighbours being trying to provoke each and every neighbour all night and morning , 3times the police have been before they actually decided to take him away just now ,6 months of it on and off and it's a shame to see and I've tried and tried to defuse situations time and again for him but he's just antagonising people on purpose ,jumping on cars passing and such .
Not good !

He's probably in his 60's with physical disabilities and mental health issues like many of us but I think he has a drink and all bets are off , honestly I've seen superhuman restraint shown by younger neighbours today but he needs treatment ,where as he'll just get out walk up and down the street apologising at the top of his voice and the record plays again .Actually like the guy as he's lived near us for 20 years ,just a sudden decline in his mental health is not being addressed properly and it's causing multiple problems for us all.
His dog( a pug) attacked 3 dogs on leads the other week and the dog walkers dogs grabbed it and me with my wife's heard this an went out and my wife who has her own limitations and me were trying to separate the dogs and the dog walker nearly had a heart attack ,
Lets hope he gets the help he needs because this isn't good for anyone .

Just wanted to say, You can make a phone call and ask for a police welfare check very easily, you can also contact social services and your local GPs surgery if you think that’s where he’s registered. Even if you think this won’t do anything, it raises a flag. Eventually enough cause action.

This could be as simple as a UTI in an older person with sudden cognitive decline or change.
One day I’m sure this will be me. I don’t have any family who will be there, I hope someone makes a call one day on my behalf.

I hope you all get some peace and quiet over the new year x

Cheers ,he has grandchildren but I think it's something like ssri's then add booze but he gets help then throws it in peoples face and while the Mrs and me are super understanding and go above and beyond when we see an issue he was being nasty and spiteful to her too which adds the risk of me losing my stuff .

I'm still of the school of thinking that you don't call the coppers for nowt except the sickest of shite but didn't stop her giving a statement as she's finally seeing it as a serious problem that's got out of control .

Anyway on a lighter note it seems to of stopped an I know you've not been great so just want to wish you's dog's an all from us 😊 pets an all a brighter happier new year and hope your feeling better soon as she's starting to feel more positive since starting MC especially the oils thanks to you 💚

I'm a total animal/wildlife nut!! I think prefer animals to humans :ROFLMAO: My wife and I do the charity thing for the dogs in Spain to help our friend out, plus it's a free holiday and I get to play with puppies!! If we had jobs that could accommodate having a dog we would 100% but the cat's are my boys! and they can take care of themselves. Marley on the left and Harry on the right!!. I also have loads of Hedgehogs hibernating at the moment as well. A few years ago I cut holes in all the garden fences to make a Hedgehog Highway and put boxes in a few gardens , I often have them running around the garden. And then there's my BIRDS!! I love my birds, I live very close to RSBP Rainham Marshes, and Hornchurch Country park, I'm very lucky. 🦔🦔😻😻🐶🐶🐦🐦

Same as mate with the back garden being a hedgehog cut through for sure ,our hedgerow is a delight to just chill an watch with birds living in there and I live about 30 metres from a big park as well where when I'm walking the dogs there are two crows that I've fed for what seems years now and soon as they see us they wait by their tree for a snack and follow us round the field so far along .

Okay now we are talking my language!

3 cats here to, 2 whippets and a HUGE amount of wildlife 🥰 hedgehogs, slow worms and frogs galore. Squirrels I feed to!
We’ve had a toad once or twice and the bird life is pretty awesome.

I’ve been working so hard to establish the garden as a feeding ground and we’ve got a really well established mixed flock who visit and some tits who nest.
My fave are the long tailed tits, there were 4 when we moved in, I counted 12 this morning!!

We’ve got Red Kites, and a family of buzzards, tawny owls and a murder of crows who roost in an abandoned listed building behind our house too!

And I came here to post, it begins…

So here's a strange one. I've never seen a Slow Worm in my 49 years of being on this planet. I saw 2 within 2 weeks in MY garden!!, both with tails docked. First I thought about a bird dropping the first one randomly in my garden but when the second one turned up on the path!! Was there a nest all this time under my nose, did my cat find 2? Please excuse my dirty fingernails!!
