Hey fellow Medicann men and women. The feeling on the ‘old’ thread is that we don’t like the new Bot* and it has killed the vibe. So I though I would start an alternative page as the mod’s don’t want to move the Rot.

I used to really enjoy clinic chat and the other random things. It was like my hobby checking it each night for goss, discounts, tips and the occasional popcorn moments.

*Holly don’t be upset, We just liked his lay out better and he doesn’t do stand up.

Join me in standing here, waiting in hope.

I have collected a few Medicann spread sheet links that have been really helpful in that the layouts are nice to see at a glance what’s happening.

I had a chat with them today and apparently they are looking into letting us use other pharmacies!! They better had or they are gonna start losing people !! Fingers crossed they sort it!!!! Also they said any strains that are interesting and they don't have to let them know! 🤔 I just don't know at this point whether it's just a brush off or it's all real ??? 🤔
So , what doob weed want that they don't have....?

This is being discussed at the moment, and we think we have a workable solution – just bare with us.

@Holly needs throttling, and instead of spamming threads all day every day, he needs to just provide morning/lunch/evening updates for each pharmacy. Coupled with that, similar to our last edited or price changes pages, we instead need to publish a live list of 'last formulary changes' on the database itself. We can then even have a formulary changes summary right on individual medication listings, showing where it goes in and out of stock, and when.

We initially chose to let Holly publish so often because @Co4ie's bot was posting once per hour and seemed well-received, we then extended that to our entire update system whereby 9 different pharmacy threads are being updated live as we process changes – but that in itself is causing issues, it's too much and blocking genuine chat from happening. We also will be converting Holly's long updates posts to a quote instead which is expandable, instead of forcing users to scroll through a ton of 'update spam'.

We want to make information accessible to people, and maintain a cohesive history of all changes, but right now as highlighted - it's simply ruining the forum experience.

In general, a lot of revision to the system is needed.

I just want to point out @Terpinolord we hear you loud and clear, and know this needs changing - the lack of addressing this from staff publicly so far isn't because we don't recognise the issue, it's because we're trying to think through a viable long-term solution, and making sure we nail things next time around.

It sounds like there are some solid plans in the works to improve the forum experience. Reducing the update frequency and making them more user-friendly should help keep the chat flowing while still providing the necessary information.

Creating a live list of formulary changes and integrating updates into individual medication listings could be a great way to keep everyone informed without overwhelming the discussion threads. It’s good to hear that your feedback is being taken seriously, and hopefully, these changes will make a positive difference.

I just wanted to make a stand for the love of the group and create a tongue in cheek place for us Medicanners to join in protest. Then we would be sure our message was heard. I got so into it I even changed my picture to the other joker on the ship.

I have asked if they have any plans for stock the Upstate mochi gelato and they have passed it onto the pharmacy to see if it can be stocked so let’s see 👀 in the past Medicann have been great with this to be fair I have asked about a few things over the months and coincidence or not they have always been stocked not long after 🙏

I think it's something to do with flooding, the houses are on stilts to avoid the water, they stand up when flooding occurs , stand up and then start dancin the lambada!
