Intros Travelling in Uk with prescription flower - are the prescriptions bags smell proof?

I’m taking a flight to Manchester, first time I’ll be travelling with my prescription. I don’t have time to buy any special bag to lock the smell. Should I declare it ? Should I go through with the bags that it came in, I’m guessing they aren’t smell proof? I’m taking a vape too, are they likely to confiscate and make me appeal ?

You'll be fine, make sure you have your written prescription from your clinic on your phone/tablet if possible or the paper copy if you have one, keep everything in its original packaging if possible. You can declare it if it makes you feel better. Myself, i wouldn't be arsed i'd just walk through as normal but that's me

keep everything in its original packaging, the packaging isn't always smell proof but you can get carbon lined bags from amazon that are brilliant. I use a bag from firedog and it looks just like a normal backpack, i keep my meds, vape and grinder in there and there is zero odour.

I made it so far, no issues from Exeter, see how it is going the other way through Manchester security. I have all the documents and the right packaging with me, it feels like a rite of passage!

It all went with no issues. Manchester security was a bit intense; my bag was stopped for some reason, maybe random checks, but as they were running a wand over my bag, I was expecting to be questioned, but it was fine. I asked what the check was, and it was explosives they were swabbing for. It took around 45 minutes to get through security there though.

I just keep my flower in the original tub inside the pharmacy bag and carry my script. Security’s never questioned it. The bags aren’t totally smell-proof but it’s never caused issues.
