I’m thinking of travelling to Turkey with my prescription. Does anyone have any knowledge of this? Thanks.

Hello , not sure myself but found this online and just from what it says ,it doesn't look good, but I'm sure someone will be more definitive.
Looking at the article it suggests ,even other more regular meds may be prohibited.
Welcome.

Ok thanks for your input. Here on this website it says that you need a completed form and obviously copy of prescription and correctly labelled carry pots and should be ok but it’s all very vague.

Yes,definitely vague hopefully another member may have been through this same process with Turkey and can shed a bit more light.

Found one. About Turkey.

There was a report recently on Reddit of a user whom had a really hard time visiting Turkey, though now deleted, it's definitely worth reading:

Otherwise we have seen many other patients travel there without issue. including since.

5. Medication brought, as accompanied baggage or one month prior or after their arrivals, by passengers visiting our country for purposes of personal treatment included in Appendix-9 of the Resolution shall be allowed at reasonable amounts, considering the time the passengers will spend in our country and provided that a document (report from healthcare organization, doctor’s report ore prescription, etc.) stating that the passengers must use such medication during their travel is presented to the customs administration.

Official form for declaring travelling with 'narcotic drugs'.

i was informed oil only no flower for turkey as wann get my teeth sorted

Really interested to see how this went aswell, planning to travel to turkey for a family holiday in about a month if I can take my meds, was only planning to take vape carts if possible

You'd expect it's the time of year when a few have already been to Turkey ,so let's hope someone has first hand recent experience of what they had to do (y)
I did see one guy on reddit saying he did it and it all went fine but unfortunately that aint enough for me 😅😂

Im going to call CB1 Medical tomorrow and ask if they know the rules.

I've found out that i have send in a copy of my prescription and travel letter into the relevant Turkish authorities no less than 3 days before travelling.
I travel on the 10th September and my quarterly review is booked for 2nd Sept so its going to be cutting it very fine. hopefully Alternaleaf will agree to see me a little earlier.

Please see the form on Annex-1 of the guideline issued by the International Narcotics Control Board at https://www.incb.org/documents/Travellers/files/TUR_ENG_2017.pdf. Following this, the cannabis-containing drugs (CBD) brought by the passenger will be permitted into Türkiye.

It seems i am unable to travel to Turkey with my meds. in the form i posted above it states the following -
Travellers under treatment with medical preparations containing cannabis (which is approved by FDA or EMA) must carry with them a form like “Model form of a certificate for the carrying by travellers under treatment of medical preparations containing narcotic drugs and/or psychotropic substances” which has been developed by INCB according to “International guidelines for national regulations concerning travellers under treatment with internationally controlled drugs” (translated into English and endorsed by competent authority of the country of departure). 3. This original form must send to Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency by the competent authority of the country of departure at least 3 (three) days before arrival of the travellers under medical treatment. 4. Upon arriving to the Republic of Turkey, travellers must declare this document to the border control.
The form titled “Model form of a certificate for the carrying by travellers under treatment of medical preparations containing narcotic drugs and/or psychotropic substances” needs to be both stamped and signed by the Pharmacy Clinician.
The info shared by the Turkish Embassy also states that- This original form must send to Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency by the competent authority of the country of departure at least 3 (three) days before arrival of the travellers under medical treatment.
Now i have been in touch with my Clinic, sent them these forms and explaind the situation but they have just replied to my email with " we are unable to provide guidance regarding the authority to submit it to the Turkish embassy"
So where does this now leave me as my clinic are not prepared to fill out these forms and send them to the Turkish authorities, at this point I've hit a brick wall and I am unable to travel next week with my meds. I am very disappointed to say the least.
