Travelling to Hungary with MC

Hi all,

I’m travelling to Budapest and was wondering if anyone has any advice or stories to share about this please? Do they allow MC to be brought in as a UK MC patient?

Hey. I have travelled to Hungary and there were no issues. I got the travel letter from the pharmacy. Flew from Manchester and when landed in Budapest just walked through passport control and that's it. Next time i will contact the embassy to cover myself just in case. My issue with flying with MC is the storage. The zip bags are useless as when the air pressure changes the bag can leak the smell. I cant decant it otherwise its not the original packaging. If you can take a few ziplock bags to keep the smell in. If you have pots they are probably better. Good luck

Hey @Vick , please be careful when receiving internet advice. Tommybrock was EXTREMELY LUCKY, with capital letters. He was committing a criminal offense according to hungarian law.

Hungary is currently an extremely ZERO-tolerance country in terms of cannabis. Medical use is not recognised. Any form of possession is completely illegal. Maybe as a foreigner, you'll escape with a hefty fine and confiscation, but they might actually take you in.

While I can't personally confirm, I heard stories of hungarian tokers being searched by police, and if they find even a baggie with remains, not even actual nugs, or a leftover roach, they can take you in AND start searching your home already. It's utterly ridiculous. And you can only avoid conviction by providing the details of who you got it from.

Don't risk it! It's serious business. YOU WILL LIKELY GET A CRIMINAL RECORD.

I do feel you may have been incredibly lucky here, I love the city but MC flower is unfortunately completely illegal - and domestically just derivative products like oils are currently legal.
