Vapes Venty experiences

I got my Venty yesterday. I have 2 other dry-flower vapes and am unimpressed with their vapor quality and the resultant high. Not so with the Venty; the vapor was excellent and I got nicely baked. However, even at the default temp, I find the vapor to be too hot for my mouth and throat and have ordered a water-pipe adapter. My quick take:

Pros:
* Very fast heat up. Wow!
* Herb heats evenly and never has to be stirred.
* Much easier to load and unload than my other flower vapes.
* Simple, easy interface.
* Efficient. I get a surprising number of hits before it starts tasting like burnt popcorn. [A quibble is that it continues to produce clouds even after the herb is completely spent, yuck! That’s part of my learning curve.]

Cons:
* Rather large size. Not very discreet.
* I wish the top component attached magnetically and not with a twist. I worry about the longevity of an expensive device with mechanical operation.
* My biggest problem is that the vapor is very hot. Scorched throat hot! The vapor path is insufficient to cool the vapor much. I just ordered a 3rd party water-pipe adapter for it and probably won’t use it again until I can water-cool the vapor.
* S&B does not offer a water-pipe adapter.

what temps you using at? capsules being used or straight into the drawer?

try a lower temp and heat soak the bowl before the 1st inhale

I start at the default starting temp (360℉, I think), then after 5 or 6 puffs I boost it once (387℉) and use until it starts tasting burnt. I find that it makes my throat dry AF. I can’t wait to get the pipe adapter I ordered so I can cool it down thru water (either bong or bubbler).

I haven’t used the dosing capsules yet, though I ordered a set. For now, I like how easy it is to dump the bowl and reload it. My other two vapes are a pain to reload.

[Sorry about the ℉, I’m a Yank.]

360 is 180 so quite low. you should be able to go a bit lower
go lowest and let chamber heat before 1st or 2nd inhale
or is it on demand thats hitting hard?

Thanks. I’ve learned to let the chamber heat as otherwise the first 2 hits produce little vapor. I just find that the Venty gives me desert mouth and a little more throat discomfort than regular smoking through a bong does. I guess that’s on demand. I’ve tried various inhalation techniques also; I know we bong smokers are accustomed to taking large rips. It’s precisely bong smoking that I’m trying to do less of. My pipe attachment comes on Monday, after that I’ll use a water device when home. Thanks again.

The dry mouth is such an issue
Lemon and honey tea works great and keeps it at bay. Chuck a few into your day and you'll be fine 🙏🔥🍵🧡

I start at 160. Also try the dosing caps they make it nicer imo

Yay! I got my water attachment today. I’m aware that my experience isn’t being mirrored by the many reviewers out there that think the Venty is the best device ever and don’t mention this issue. Maybe because they don’t live with it for a while.

It is the best dry flower vape I’ve used and the only one that really gets me high. But without the water attachment, I can’t consistently use it. The vapor is just too hot and it kills my mouth and throat.

The water pipe attachment helps with the vapor. I also bought a multi-width connector that can fit 10, 14, or 18 mm bowls. I first used it with the bubbler attachment for the DaVinci Miqro (see pic). Later, I’ll connect it to my bong and see if I get enough vapor. One concern is that it makes the Venty unstable and you can’t leave the bubbler on and set the Venty down. It makes my bong unstable and requires 2 hands to use. The bong tilts forward if the heavy Venty is attached and would probably break if it fell over.

Since my last post I’ve also noticed an unusual, but small issue. I get Scooby snacks (without the water attachment) from the Venty. That’s odd because they thoughtfully put 2 screens between the herb and the mouthpiece. Nevertheless, I do have to spit out an occasional remnant that got thru.

And, OMG after about 5 uses, I disassembled the cooling unit—just from curiousity—and it was icky! All kinds of crud. I recommend cleaning this device often. The disassembly and reassembly are not simple—and I didn’t remove the o-rings. Ungood that this needs to be done often. The good news is that the entire interior is accessible for cleaning and that the flavor improved after cleaning.

Overall, the Venty is a very good piece and the best of the ones I’ve used. It does have negatives: hot vapor, cleaning, size. Will it replace my bong?? TBD

Good morning 🙏🏼 and Happy Saturday.
Last night was the first time I had got a chance to try out this new Venty and I'm getting lots of vapour but no flavour compared to my daily device which is the Milatron Tritonian which for its size is some bit of kit.
Any tips on where I could be going wrong ?
