Hi All, Looking for some advise and guidance.

I have been in a wheelchair all my life, and have used Mary J for a good 30 years. Mainly used flower, but used solid in the early days.

Used to use the BM, but for the last 7-8 years grow my own. I know both are illegal, but I'd rather get done for growing a few plants for myself, than the alternate illegal route.

I have mainly use to ease muscle spasms and pain and to make my life more comfortable and bearable, as I am a Tetraplegic, and have been confined to a wheelchair all my life.

For the last 30 years cannabis has made my life good, and comfortable, I have never needed big Pharma meds, even though they have tried to push them on me. I am pretty sure that 99% of other disabled people in my position, will be on proper prescribed medication, which could be doing more harm than good. As life experiences has shown me.

The reason I decided to grow it, I was getting tired of paying ridiculous prices on the Oz , and for stuff that was supposed to be the best, I had asked my GP a long time ago, if cannabis can be prescribed to me, but this was before regulation changes.

So to keep costs down for me, and to have something that made life easier for me, I decided to grow a few plants for my self. with hit and miss results, depending on weather.

But never achieving the same quality as from the BM, but I only grow outdoors, not in a controlled environment.

Due to my harvest being hit and miss each year, and not wanting to go down BM route any longer, I want to see how to get it legally prescribed, to me and hopefully a lot better quality to what I can grow.

I am hoping somewhere near Amsterdam or Cali quality, and it is grown legally, and properly.

So if anyone out there can advise or guide me as in the best path to take, would be much appreciated

Thanks in advance folks.

Welcome mate it is really easy just get a copy of your medical records and send them to the clinic you apply to join.

There are loads of different clinics some are free and some are more expensive but are a better service.
Some clinics are not very good as well

The flower is really good but you seem to pay more for the better quality stuff but there are some good cheaper options.

If you need to know anything people on here will help you as well

Welcome to the forum @Gsnoop and it does sound sensible to get a legal regular supply of a quality that is consistent and like many of us you have GYO and used BM for many a year and Medical Cannabis can be quite easy to access with a some clinics where they don't have fees and you just pay for the meds and postage where as some others have a small fee but each has it pro's and cons but from what you have said I would recommend requesting your summary of care record off your GP and applying to a clinic

As I have said each clinic has it's own way of operating some you can only order once a month where as others you can put multiple requests in in each month .
I've put a list of clinics that most members here are members of .

  1. Alternaleaf
  2. Medicann
  3. Integro
  4. CB1 Medical
  5. Mamedica
  6. Cantourage
  7. Cannabis Clinic Cardiff

Hi Gsnoop, Big Welcome to the Community!

I'd recommend Medicann by a country mile, free to join, hassle free, massive formulary to choose from... as far as the product itself you would need to do some research to find out what's the better strains available atm etc but that's why were here! :)

In terms of quality if your good at your research you'll get cali quality every script quite easily

If your GP makes out they don't know what your requesting just say you need a list of all your conditions & medications tried as your going private with a certain matter... don't need to elaborate any further than that or mention cannabis clinics etc

If they say you'll need to wait 28 days tell them to forget it, just a way of fobbing people off, they can print it all off for you at the front desk in 2 minutes as its usually under 10 pages but some choose to make it difficult for you, only know as I've got a lot of people enrolled friends family workmates etc and it varies person to person depending on their GP

Just a quick update, so I got my 1st prescription 2 weeks ago. I was a bit sceptical, but so far so good. i just need to discover now what works for me, The one when you get in bed and wrap that duvet around you feeling, and floating on a cloud. No muscle spasms.
Great news that you have got past the early process and are now legally prescribed and hopefully you'll soon enough get a grasp of exactly what type of strain works for you and have you found any from your first prescription that work better than others so far?

Yes Tyson 2.0 ATG isn't bad. but still not quite hitting what I am looking for.

Ah well if you are willing to pay around that price then the Pave S1 as recommended by @JR52 is a must as it has solidly performed all year long for people needing that kind of medication and could be ideal but there will be cheaper ones out there that you'll hopefully get relief from .
The Green Karat Supreme Diesel has been available on discount and another that could well suit as it is highly relaxing and a bit of a bargain at £6.50/g and by the same producer as Pave S1 .

Thank you for you recommendations. I will give them a pop on my next prescription. I also want to try non irradiated, to see the difference in the flower, and effects on me, compared to irradiated.

No worries and it's often the best way to just experience them for yourself regards Irradiation and form your own view of it but in fairness some producers Irradiation methods are a lot harsher than others and with some Beta Irradiated you would hardly be able to tell but the best judge is the effects all said and done .
