Clinics ⚠️ CB1 Medical: Patient/Clinic Data Breach

I was one of the unlucky ones who had their data obtained through CB1 Medical. Ever since they notified me it had been a complete disaster how it has been handled. I’ve complained several times and just not hard any response, had people taking to colleagues and laughing whilst I’m on the phone to them explaining how much this has upset me as I’m now constantly receiving scam messages, calls and emails. It generic ones - these always now use my full name and also emails that’s claim they’ve found “indecent” material on my devices and threatening me to send a ransom. I updated my terrible experience on Trustpilot, and within minutes got notification from Trustpilot that CB1 were trying to get my review removed! They didn’t succeed but the next day, there was about 10 reviews all saying how “perfect and excellent” CB1 is - clearly these are fake as looking at the regularity of previous reviews these just don’t add up and you can just tell by the wording in the reviews. Here we are 3 months later and I am being completely ignored by CB1 and they still haven’t acknowledged my complaint. I wasn’t just someone buying weed to get high, I have serious chronic pain which the cannabis helped with, and to get me off of pregabalin - and they have completely halted my recovery. Now back on pregabalin as I have zero trust in any of these companies now.

Sorry to hear this and I can feel your frustration at how it's interfered with your health and recovery and we (my wife)we're victims of this too and have received one or two unwelcome calls/contacts since the breach with no further explanation .
Your right to put your real life experience where others can see it but the following events are the reason I personally don't give things like that a second look and much prefer things like the forum where friendships and trust have formed and people tend to give their account of things good or bad .
 
I have been avoiding CB1 Medical as a principle after reading about the breach. Unfortunately it's only a matter of time this happens again somewhere else too. For example, the terrible patchwork pharmacy applications are just asking for it...

And don't assume your details are safe just because you're going through more "official" sources for official meds. Companies behind them scoop up and even sell data like there is no tomorrow and sometimes that's as bad as outright leaking data.
 
I started with CB1 Medical about 3 months ago, first and only clinic I've used so far. Since joining I have been receiving automated voice calls from various countries claiming to be HMRC stating I have to press 1 to speak to someone or I might be investigated blah blah blah.
I can't guarantee that CB1 is the source but there isn't much else that I've given my details to in that time.
The calls stopped in the past couple weeks after I blocked numbers.

Welcome to the forum @PaulPott and the actual data breach happened about 10 months ago so customers who have joined since then shouldn't be affected in theory but I empathise as the calls are annoying and I regularly get them claiming to be skytv

Yep, I had the HMRC call today. I just hung up and immediately reported and blocked the imbeciles. I recently made an online onboarding request on their app and have had a good couple of calls with this clinic. They better sort it out!!! Or, boy better know!!!!!!!!!!
