Welcome guide for new members

Now.. I'm fully expecting this to be a stupid question (my head does hurt like hell after all)..

But I can't find a guide for new members. I'm sure that you've already considered it and have possibly thought it unnecessary.

On the other hand, I may just be dumb and didn't see it.. in which case, I'll get my coat..
