We're incredibly proud to announce that Tim Henley has officially joined MedBud™ as Director of Business Development.
Tim has been serving as the lead director for Cannim in the UK, both establishing and managing Lumir® clinic at the University of Birmingham. Entering this space during the infancy of UK medical cannabis legalisation, Tim has been both a passionate advocate and champion of patient rights; as well as a pioneering leader within our industry unafraid to challenge the status quo at each step.
For those that aren't aware, Cannim, the Australian parent company behind Lumir® clinic, has entered administration - affecting funding for their continued operation. Lumir® clinic is suspending all operations from 15th November, while Tim and his team are doing their best to find all current patients new homes at other clinics.
Tim has served on our own advisory board for around three years now, helping guide MedBud's direction since near our inception. He's someone who strongly supports our non-profit principles, ethos and methodology. Tim's immediate priorities are to stabilise our current funding, to take over managing many of our industry relationships, and moreover to help free myself up personally to focus on the launch of our review system and MedBud 2.0 - our huge UI/UX overhaul.
A trusted confidant, with a wealth of experience - I can speak for Dr. Tahzid Ahsan and @GrownHealth too when stating: we couldn't be more excited and grateful to have him become a permanent part of the team. We think we've found a perfect match.
A Statement from Tim:

I am delighted to announce the cherished values that I worked so hard to build in Lumir® clinic are going to be amplified now I am joining MedBud.wiki as Business Development Director.
MedBud.wiki is the UK’s pioneering platform empowering patients with a dedication to information transparency and education that is unmatched in the UK medical cannabis space — values that deeply align with my own. Our shared goal is to drive innovation and expansion of the platform guided by our Public Charter. We will be creating strategic partnerships, expanding clinical and policy engagement, and helping shape the future of accessible, evidence-based UK cannabinoid care at governmental level.
With my background in clinical governance, regulatory affairs, and advocacy formed from founding AccessKaneh and leading the Cannabis Trades Association, to building Lumir® Clinic and advancing citizen science trials — I’m passionate about bridging the gap between science, policy, and public understanding of the power of the Cannabis Economy.
MedBud.wiki is already the trusted resource for thousands of patients and professionals alike. Together, we’ll be expanding its impact, supporting informed decision-making, and championing the endocannabinoid system as a cornerstone of modern healthcare and life effects.
Let’s build a more transparent, compassionate, and data-driven future together — one patient, one policy, one partnership at a time.
A Personal Welcome from Dr. Taz Ahsan (Medical Director):

I'm thrilled to welcome Tim Henley to the MedBud family.
For three years, Tim has been part of our journey — not just as an advisor, but as someone who truly understands what we're building. Like finding the missing piece in a puzzle, Tim's arrival feels both natural and transformative.
What excites me most isn't just Tim's impressive experience with AccessKaneh, the Cannabis Trades Association, or Lumir® Clinic — it's his unwavering commitment to the values that define our work: integrity, honesty, communication, respect, and accountability. These aren't just words; they're the NHS-inspired principles that guide every decision we make.
Tim embodies something rare in our industry: the ability to build sustainable business models without compromising patient-first values. As we evolve MedBud into a sustainable platform, we need someone who can help us grow commercially while keeping our soul intact.
Ralph, Gareth, and I couldn't be more grateful. Together, we're not just building a business—we're nurturing a movement toward transparent, accessible, evidence-based cannabinoid care.
Welcome home, Tim. Let's grow something beautiful together.
