I've still got 10 g of High Silver and 10 g of Green Gelato, but I didn't get either on my prescription this month, which I'm a little worried about in case I don't like any of the new stuff! So using the GG4 to enable me to keep the HS and GGO just in case. But realistically, tomorrow 50 g of new bud arrives and I've still got 20 g there so I'll be sitting on a bit of a surplus for the first time in my MC journey which is relieving, although I may need not very much at all in next months script. Or maybe I'll just use next month to stock up on HS lol.
Sounds like you're sitting pretty as having a few to select from when they are an unknown to you has to be the way to go at this stage of your MC journey and lets hope you find a couple more strains this coming month out of your new prescription that are winners for you.
Sounds good I've actually never tried gd4 as it's listed as Sativa had no idea it was sleep inducing.. this month will be 20g pink kush, 15g fire og 15g bcp 10g white runtz craft. 10g black triangle smalls 10g purple punch
Curaleaf list it as an IndicaHybrid and its listed in their formulary as a night-time strain. According to MedBud "There have been instances of brands labelling medications incorrectly, for example a SativaHybrid labelled as an Indica. We strongly urge all brands not to attempt to reclassify cultivars/strains themselves, and depend solely on genetic lineage as is practised here at MedBud. While these classifications cannot be fully depended upon, it's important their usage is rooted in more accurate genetic analysis, and not any brand's particular notion of 'what feels like what.'"
So MedBud says Curaleaf may be labelling it based on "what it feels like", so I guess Curaleaf are pitching it as an IndicaHybrid because its effects are on par with what people expect from an IndicaHybrid - so I guess that means that although it probably is a genetic Sativa, you can still expect couch lock and/or sleep benefits from it.
Which I guess makes sense because I'm reading a lot these days that the received wisdom is that Sativa/Indica classifications are useless for making judgments about effects and terpene profile is the way to go instead. But because the Sativa vs Indica stuff is so ingrained in patients and doctors, we're still finding weird stuff like clinics/pharmacies trying to play into that stuff instead of just ignoring it entirely.
So yeah, don't let the Sativa label put you off, definitely works for sleep for me anyway. terpenes aren't listed on MedBud, but patient information leaflet lists main terpenes as Myrcene, Caryophyllene, D-Limonene, alpha-Humelene and Bisabolol.

It's definitely on the savoury side but not extreme just not a preferred taste profile and when I mixed it with Ripped off Runtz its was a much nicer taste so it's got me thinking it may be nice blended with Jokerz which could work well for me ,
First Mamedica® prescription arrived today so I've been consuming Glass Pharms Wedding Cake, 4C Labs Super G Citra and some Curaleaf Royal Moby, and though I haven't had them yet, I've had a sniff of Aurora® Farm Gas and 4C Labs Chemnesia Haze.
Wedding Cake is pretty good. Not too much a fan of the smell in the tin where its quite pungent - wife says it reminds her of someone else's bad breath which I can kind of see what she's getting at, but the taste in the vape is nicer with more of the lemon coming through.. Definitely nothing really like Wedding Cake though, I've since learned it was named for the frosty icing of its trichomes rather than any sort of flavour likeness with wedding cake - definitely not a dessert strain. Buds are definitely not too damp or anything as others had suggested they might be. Effects are good, I was out gardening today on it and it was very pleasant to work with. Might keep this one on the script, though I'd say generally I prefer High Silver as a daytime Sativa - got slightly more that I want in terms of taste and scent profile, and it's very, very compliant with daytime activities.
Super G Citra is not what I expected flavour wise. It's over 40% Limonene in the terpenes profile, so I was expecting it to hit like a refreshing lemonade. There is a lot of citrus there, but there's also strong floral notes, which combine to leave it coming off more of a sort of cheap air freshener or fabric softener or something. I was hoping to find a Sativa that slightly edged High Silver in citrusyness - High Silver does it very well despite a lack of Limonene, but it also has musky notes that would be nice to remove and have the purer citrus left behind. But Super G Citra is not going to be it, I don't think.
Royal Moby I only had a few puffs of so I'll report back on it in more depth later, and same with the others once I've tried them.
Although I have to say, the smell of Farm Gas is absolutely rancid. To me it smells like acrid, burnt tyres or something like that. Funnily enough, I've had that smell/taste profile before on BM, and I'd always wondered if it was just a perfectly normal weed taste/smell that I happened to not like, or if it actually a bad smell indicative of poor growing/curing/storage, etc. So it's nice to know that the smell features in perfectly safe and checked medical cannabis as well, so nothing to have been afraid of all those years! But, I don't actually like it either. I've seen some reviews that say the taste is much better than the smell and the large Limonene component comes through and the effects are on point - so perhaps that'll make it worth it and it'll grow on me. But initial reaction is that it's putrid and maybe I'm not a gas guy at all. Will report back.
Really pleased your up and running after your recent transfer also I'm really enjoying your breakdowns of each strain as you encounter them and I totally agree on the farm gas and it makes me cringe but it really works for some people but rather them than me lol.
Royal Moby type strains I find similar to High Silver but just more of an alert effect and uplift but pleasant all the same .

Glad I'm not the only one feeling that way on Farm Gas. Do you know of any other strains that have a similar profile so I can perhaps also avoid? Although again, I'm saying all of this before I've actually tried it, but the smell of it has been on my mind all day in a bad way lol.

Definitely try it sooner than later ,as it's more off putting to the senses when I smell the pot it's as if instinct tells me its going to make me cough and not be nice but its not as bad to use and is really effective for sleeping .
I'd say it's the Sour Diesel aspect that gives it this terpene profile but strangely I do like Sour Diesel but other strains on Medical with this in are Sourdough and Supreme Diesel to name a couple and these are actually decent strains in their own right .
