First few days of double figure temps and last freeze of the year due soon here so I've been pottering around trying to make the most of it. Mowing and raking, filling some troughs with soil and amendments ready for some plants in a few weeks or so. Sown a few things indoors in trays and pots, 2 types of strawberries, some chillis, sunflowers, edible flowers (must remember to either label the hell out of these or put in their own trough so don't get confused with the japanese carpet flowers!) dill, basil, parsley.

I assume everyone else is ahead of me as the season starts later this far north, so what have you all been up to so I know what I have to look forward to :)

Who needs an almanack?

Grafting ,that's what we've been up to in the garden today loland I've been moving cobbles about by the shovel full and a visit to a garden centre at some point is needed to get some new stuff to plant and a couple of bits and bobs for mini projects!

Cobble stones? I take it by graft you mean the northern slang for working and not plant grafting? I've debated grafting a cannabis plant to a big old oak tree before now, I reckon you could get away with it?

Have grafted a branch in the past non canna messing about but we bought a ton of scottish cobbles 10 years ago and I spend all year moving them about but it was great the all three of us and the dogs outside and we really enjoyed it, followed by 2 hours kip lol .

Slowly building a rockery, got lots of quartz rocks and now adding alpine plants as and when, took days to dig it out and get rid of the grass and weed roots.

Don't mate, I've got about 3 days energy expended on scarifying/raking moss out of my lawn, still not down to earth yet, gone through black and green down hopefully the yellowing stuff is the last of it (that's only the small lawn at front, the back needs some more drying out yet, bloody overhanging trees shade it even when they are wearing their winter coat!

Hi all,

Well the garden has started with both pop up greenhouses being full with seedling. Lots of fruits, herbs, flowers started.
One issue I had was with an order from Spider Farmer LED EBay was with the humidity control and filter I bought. The device was sent back after finding the item had additional technology placed inside which was communicating data.

Just waiting for a knock on the door now after this close encounter with the catfish account mentioned.

So lots of change of gardening plans for this year.

Welcome aboard easydoesit, if that was a third party device, I would not be returning it but sending it to the authorities. If they didn't act I'd assume they were responsible :ROFLMAO:

to be honest, I'd probably try and trace were it was sending the data to first and what data it was sending, then act accordingly, maybe check if it always used one port and if that port wasn't a main port block it, or if it always sends to a specific location just block that location etc. If I was particulary bored I'd de-solder/remove the component and list it for sale back on the bay, with a full description of what it was doing and a BIN so high that it just remained as an advert to warn others ;)

Just because I'm paranoid, it doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get me.

Welcome @Easydoesit and that does sound like a good start with getting things up and running already but also sounds a nightmare with your purchase but at least it's gone now 😌and I'm probably going to nip to the garden centre today to play catch up a bit in this nice weather and get some stuff on the go.

Hi all,

I did some due diligence and it became apparent SpiderFarmer LED. Is a catfish! It redirects orders to SpiderFarmer UK (legitimate site) for all gardening products, apart from environmental control filters and exhaust kits which they send. I did a deep dive into forums and reviews and found a number of people had received knocks on the door right at time of flower harvest time. I also research the company owners and found they were a tech company for a year before opening the EBay shop. Customs were also notified by way of VAT on the purchase which was very out of the norm.

I am a prescribed patient so do not need to grow cannabis but enjoy the therapy of gardening, planting and nurturing.

Just a reminder to stay vigilant and spread the love guys
