Clinics Medicann UK

Just a quick update on my personal situation re the limitations on the app.
I was originally on 90g flower limit, as I only joined recently, the only noticeable change to my experience when the changes came in, was actually the addition of 5x vapes, and 3x oil (and now the hash) that I hadn't had before. I wanted my limit increased, so initially sent them a message, and was told I'd need to make an appointment to have my limit increased. Made an appointment for the following week, and had it by phone.
The meeting was mainly the usual tick box stuff, and how did I get on with the meds etc and why I had asked for the appointment.
I explained I would like an increase to 120g, and didn't mind all the other stuff being removed as I don't require/use them, but was falling short of what I needed in terms of flower each month .
She told me she was unable to make the decision herself and had to speak with the prescribing doctor first. Whole phone call lasted about 7 minutes.
24 hours later no changes (ie no limit decrease or removals from the other items) except for 3x extra packs now available, giving me what I'd asked for.
Gotta give the process 10/10, it might not be as touchy feely as some might like, but it works fine for me! 🤟 🤟 🤟

Im glad it was straight forward for you because the guy refused to increase my limit over the phone advising me to buy shitty gamma zapped flower instead and told me to wait another month. I messaged them via support and got my limit increased within an hour 🤷‍♂️ thank you Harry from Medicann you can keep all that shitty flower for yourself 👍

They REALLY are taking the Michael now. £120 for beta-irradiated WTF?

Well, that's more shocking than a Dalek discovering stairs! It's definitely disappointing when prices don’t match expectations, especially for beta-irradiated products. How many emails were you firing off to Medicann HQ per minute? 😂.

Yes mate! Joined the motherland last month. Back during the April drought of 26 I asked them when they were planning a restock because I'll plan my order accordingly. I didn't get a hi, or a hello I got "there is 170 medications available". Just that - so that left me a little miffed.

Then I needed a travel letter but it turns out they've changed their policy recently. I was going to take a few different meds from separate orders but now they all need to be on one script for them to write a travel letter (bare in mind CCC covered Medicann's meds in my letter without issue). They gaslit the fuck out of me as per usual and said it had always been that way, previous travel letters disagree but anyway there unwillingness to be cooperative fucked me off and I started looking around.

Spoke to loads of clinics, nearly joined Auravia but then CCC could match all my needs and even confirmed before payment so it was a no brainer for me.

Just needed the Mrs to give me permission and she was grand about it. to be honest I'm now saving about £60-£100 on the same meds compared to if I got them anywhere else, so the savings are very evident which has made the outlay easier to swallow.

I had a shit first couple of weeks with them though, I waited 11 days from script write to receiving it but all seems well now. Quite happy with it all so far. It is an adjustment coming from Medicann's speed to now waiting 4 days, sometimes longer if it needs to be ordered in.

How's things with you anyway mate? All good in the hood?

To be honest as good as they are a clinic it definitely has its pit falls, dealing with pharmacies being one of them. You need to get rid of any delivery expectations you have. Orders typically take a week+, especially if you're using an order in pharmacy. but aside from that adjustment the actual clinic have been wonderful. The fact they're covering Medicanns meds when Medicann wouldn't even cover their own meds on a travel letter shows the variance in care. It does feel more like I've joined BUPA or something.

I'd still advise moving one day if its ever possible, they're a world apart in service its just delivery windows that aren't as tight. Seems to be a work in progress with their app though. and they're super flexible with helping you with anything which I love.

Come to think of it, here's an example of a big difference with them - the Doc said to me in my appt that if I ever go to A&E, etc. to let them know straight away so they can advocate for my health as an MC patient. that means using my medication but also things like pushing for more tests in diagnosis to avoid lazy CHE diagnosis, etc. The example he gave was being diagnosed with CHE but you have a bowel issue and you get sent home and told to stop MC when there's bigger issues at play. CCC will push for proper testing, etc. - same with your GP, if you let them know about stuff they'll speak with your GP to get real testing done.

That sort of thing is where things really differ if that shit matters to you. I think a lot of people just want their meds but in my experience it's been a 70/30 split on good time.

I did wonder if you'd ever pop back up this time around, glad you have though, always nice to see you about mate. You doing ok? - I'm all good mate, had a rough year so far but we're on the up-trend now.

I bet they were sent 100s of emails from people, glad they got it all sorted for though! I'd have had a meltdown if I was still here when it happened. Makes me glad I did leave to be quite honest with ya. the rug pulling just feels a bit of a kick in the teeth and between the travel letter policy and the allowance policy it just feels like they gas light constantly.

I really didn't expect them to fix the allowances for people so fair play to them for putting their shit right with you even if it took a little back and fourth. So have you retained your 120g?

I'm on 100g with CCC, I have edibles and carts as well. I could have had more but I'm trying to use less at the moment, ideally I want to be around 70g come christmas time.

btw, no idea if you've spoken to him lately but I know you and @Bryan were buds offline, Hope he's doing okay and living his best life. Sound chap is ol' Bry.

to be honest mate i kinda lost the plot doing all the bot stuff ngl, had to delete everything and go back to basics for my sanity, was a lot of hassle coming along with it all and yeah it got too much for me in the end, unfortunately me and Bryan are no longer mates but I dont hold anything against him I also hope hes well, he is indeed a good un!

The clinic are great but pharmacies in general are a PIA. The clinic will chase things for you if you want them too but some of them are just a pain to deal with, because stock doesn't get reserved with any pharmacy re-writes are semi-common. You get used to it but coming from Medicann its a slower pace to get things done. 24 hours for approval, 24 hours to send to pharmacy, 24 hours to process it, 24 hours to send meds out. some pharmacies like Botanical and Specials are order-in so that adds 2-3 days on to it as well.

I suspected it was all that stuff, it ends up being a full time job and then you feel under-appreciated as other resources come in and all sorts of madness. I'm glad you've binned it all off though. Sometimes I think we can let the idea of being helpful override the idea of just enjoying the community. Sucks to hear about Bryan! Hopefully we see his face appear around here soon. or maybe he reads these, who knows!

some clinics are capping at 60g, Auravia, Zoto (same people) aren't going above that. turns on clinically 70g is considered a high usage patient. Auravia did say it was a fluid situation for them though and a couple of chaps have just moved over there from Medicann. They have a top tier pharmacy as well! The 60g was just to little for me though so it led to CCC!

If you ever move from Medicann definitely check out Auravia first, you can get all meds like CCC with them so if they can meet the grammage then they're fantastic for anyone imo.

Really pleased to see you back around mate! Didn't you just peace out last time as well? Can't even remember any kicking off so I don't think apologies are needed! - Looking forward to slagging off IPS flower with ya ;)

I think going from Medicann with instant approvals and NDD has been the hardest adjustment for me. if I had come from Alternaleaf it would probably feel normal. I was quite frustrated the first 2 weeks but its smoothing out now.

I reckon you just want to help mate, I've never got anything other than just wanting to help people from you. But I'm glad you recognised it was getting to much and hopefully you can have a much more enjoyable experience waffling along with the rest of us. You gone near the hash yet?

They're somewhat new yeah, Chanelle the practice manager is wonderful. @Barry has just been accepted with them and @TheGreenAvenger has the feelers out as well I believe.

Crazy on Integro! I've seen lots of people get denied for MH recently, loads of people moan that Medicann are rejecting MH patients so I wonder if its a wider integro policy but it all seems a bit backwards to me. even more so with your mates who got onboarded. You may have dodged a bullet with them if they're going to be so awkward.

You fully on the hunt for a new clinic then? Medicann pissed you off or do you just fancy greener pastures?

I don't know anything about any toe stepping, I like to think people around here don't hold grudges and we all understand as patients we have different needs and occasionally might come off a bit prickly. I hope everyone is happy to see you back regardless mate. As long as you're feeling more like your old self I think thats the only thing that matters!
