One of the members here tried it but it ended up chemically but that was with THCa and I imagine if you press it at as low a temperature as you dare it'll preserve more terpenes in the rosin and may take away the need to add terpenes
not done the vape cart thing yet but I've got the stuff in just in case a simple method pops up.
Ive had a easy method nookmarked for some time, if im allowed to share it on here. This is for vape carts. Shows you a good explanation of 4 different methods that you can stick in your vape. It shows you methods without adding terpenes also. Let me know if i can post link

Yea the main method i was aiming for was just the press and add terpenes. Still searching for a quality made terpenes tho as a lot all claim to be medical. I still havnt found the one i want yet but the idea is there
Suppose with me as discretion is not really needed often so a dab pen is fine as I'm not really into the processes any more but many others are so it'll helpful for them and it's probably a subject more and more people are going to be interested in especially as it gets perfected.
Well ive sussed the process out, going over and over it. How much drops are in so many ml and how much freshly squeezed rosin to drops of terpenes one might need.
Having done all that i will putting my research into action. And keeping a diary of my actions fro start to finish.
Using the right quality tested terpenes was going to be the hard part for me. Trusting the source!! and deciding which bud to try will be used in trail and error.
If i can make this vape applicable for my own needs and i find it works good in a vape then im happy to make my own than to buy at expensive prices for something i dont know what its made out of.

I'd get a press mate if I were you, you won't go wrong, you have a lot of people here who can guide you better using a press. Don't forget! not to blame us for added expenditure to the Mrs
I had the same idea... try before you buy lol. All tho pressing at different pressures i believe gives different outcomes.
Ive also done some basic maths if anyone is interested.
This is done on comercial prices for each individual part in the process excluding the price of press and vape batteries (510 vape)
Ill share my working outs. This is based on making 4 carts
1 oz of bud roughly £140 aiming for 1g of rosin per 7g of bud
Terpenes £15 roughly for 2ml (with some left over) using 8 drops per cart and 20 drops per 1ml terpenes
Vape carts, ive chosen the 510 vape carts, pack of 5s. £10
These are not exact prices so give or take
£140/4 = £35
£15/4 = £3.75
£10/4 = £2.50
Equals £40.25 per 1 gram THC cart made
Give or take. Having 1 empty cart spare and some terpenes left out of your 2ml
Obviously going on a commercial level, well i couldn't say how much cheaper it would be.
im willing to hear any mistakes, especially the ammount of rosin per gram of bud needed as ive never pressed before either.

ive seen if you decarb the rosin low and slow like 24-48 hours at around or under 80c the rosin breaks down gradually into a more liquid state that is perfect for carts, no added terpenes, winterisation or vg required. I can try and find a link if anyone is interested
These other methods i will try once maybe after i tried the press method first. 1 method at a time for me as it takes a decent amout of research to even think about doing it different ways. On pressing i get around a 17% return, sometimes upto 20 sometimes below depends upon the bud 10g GMO gave me 1.8g 'rosin'.
Why do you need to buy and add terpenes? you press the bud and get the terpenes?

That is after pressing. Squish the flower to get the rosin, low and slow decarb the rosin, squirt into carts.
You are correct there bud but...
To be smoked in a vape cart it needs to be more liquidy to vape good enough. Ive tried putting rosin into my vape once. Got a few tokes before all it all stopped and tasted like shit and it fucked my vape up.. Im happy to add terpenes to get the consistency right. Seems better than vegetable glycerin, propylene glycol.
My intention is to extract rosin from rs11 bud. and add rs11 terpenes. Keeping it rs11 as close as it can be. But its trail and error. Putting rosin striaght into a vape cart just wont work. I want something to last like a vape pen and not a bad
Edit. I will try and keep the flavor of bud to the flavor of terpenes
Biscotti. Plenty of biscotti bud about same with the terpenes.

Im happy it has not shit in it which is the main part. And applying it to THC rosin makes sensne for its purpose

And dont forget this is for someone ie. Me to get a vape cart and have the flavor in tact as much as possible. decarboxylate like you said you lose the terpenes aswell so that wouldnt be such flavorsum.
