I've got to take my son for his toenail removing today so that should be fun

He also used had a habit of standing on my ingrowing toenail when he was a kid ,on purpose !!!

Good morning everyone.
Well I kinda have a day off by saying that I'm not on the tools today ! My body is certainly wearing out more notably as of late, always had a bad back but there's a list of new ailments now that I'm approaching half a century this year !
Bumping into an old friend earlier and find yourself in conversation about where is sorest the most today ! In a realisation yer getting auld bro haha.
Aye just plodding on indoors being very aware about how you need to watch how you even sit down !
We also have a dog as you will see in my profile pic Her name is Faye and she is an 11 month old Sprocker Spaniel who has brought much love and joy to all the Family especially my youngest son Royce who was born with a condition known as HIE which is mild brain damage.
Royce is 8 and is a wonderful kid who has his challenges due to this condition and my wife and myself are his full time carers having been forced to go against the system with regards to schooling.
Life is hard but we make the best with the situation we find ourselves in being limited to what we can do together as a family and try not to moan as the good will allways out weigh the bad regardless
!

I did indeed cheers mate, just making little different style boxes - ie dovetails joints, half laps, t bridles etc for the charity they give them to vulnerable kids from struggling backgrounds which is a big blessing and part of the reason I take part, we do a lot of different training courses and furniture repairs there too. Doing a carving course next week I'll get a chance to show anyone new how to get into carving

I'm a Roof and wall Coatings specialist but you will rarely see me up on the roof nowadays lol

You two are really making my skin crawl with the thought of loads of painful, ingrown toes /removed nails. sounds absolutely horrible!
Mate he took it like a trooper and hasn't complained at all but the anaesthetic hasn't wore off yet
Also he is 6 foot 3 with a big beard an that so not a kid or owt so I just wish him the most speediest of recoveries

Thanks for sharing this Bryan! - I hope today helps with your aches and pains. I have started making topical ointments from my AVB with Coconut butter to help some sports injuries. It might be worth seeing if anything like that would help your back out a little. Congrats on the big 50 as well! when is your birthday?
I'm only in my 30s but spent my younger years competing in American Football, Boxing, MMA and a little bit of Football, my body absolutely hates me now! Maybe not quite as much as yours though!
Faye is absolutely beautiful! She looks like the kindest soul and I bet Royce really appreciates the difference she's made having her around.
Thank you for sharing a little about Royce's condition and how that effects the day to day life. I can't imagine how difficult that is for all of you. I'm not the most clued up on these sorts of things but Google has at the minimum shown me that things don't seem easy to say the least.
Your outlook on life and still focusing on the good is truly wonderful, as the grumpiest of pricks - I could really learn a lot from people like you and I'm really glad you're a part of this community.

There aren't many people around who selflessly help their communities these days and as someone who's been an amateur aspiring hobbyist carpenter I appreciate it even more so. Fantastic stuff!
